I am trying to install Cinema 4D it will be a while before its completed. I have to borrow someones pc because i don’t own after effects but i would say i can try to get it done by February because school is starting again soon.

The animation is the hard part
That alone will take 2-4 weeks

I would say that it being cut would help the pacing of the film and make the movie feel more focused upon Rey, Luke, and Kylo, which is the strongest element of the film in my opinion but at the end of the day I think you lose too much to make it logically work in a fanedit.

I agree with most of these changes except for why remove the mention of the emperor

As people who enjoy the prequels they get a nice reference

As for the people who haven’t seen the prequels it adds more back story to Anakin and the emperor

3D animation I’m going to remove count Dooku using after effects then animate Mual perfectly then add him back in with some new lines.

Cut to Finn and Rose leaving on the shuttle. That’s all you need.

It’s all about the dialogue. I recall him just lifting his head up and then we cut to maz but if he says “I think I know someone” then you can cut straight from there to the radar blip and then you see them pick up Poe’s call on the ship that they found a code breaker. And then you have the scene of him stealing from the ship after that before they arrive at the supremacy. You could also cut down them sneaking around (iron joke, evil BB-8, jokes).

Good thinking Handman, I think that’s the best way I’ve heard yet to cut down Canto Bight.

You’re right about it being all about the dialogue, and unfortunately the dialogue isn’t there. Poe never says, “I think I know someone”. He just looks up and points at Finn. You may be able to lift some audio from another Oscar Isaac film though.

Move Rey Luke scene from end of VII to beginning of VIII.

Because Snoke was a red herring with no reason to exist, could he be cut from VII and VIII altogether? It would take some tricky editing and may not even be possible. Otherwise, elude he was the clone of palpatine. I mean come on. No background. Nothing.

Snoke did not initiate the mind link between kylo and rey. Because kylo and rey, have the mind link after snoke is dead.

Remove the recalling of Luke trying to kill his nephew in his sleep. Perhaps, just cut the recollection out entirely. Because, there is no mention of snoke, knights of ren, or anything that we thought might be there. Instead we only see the conflicted Luke who quits over it. Not good.

Like everyone else. Edit the Mary Poppins Leia scene to be more believable. Perhaps start the scene of here flying while she is already really close. She did not fly out so far and need to travel back so far.

The guy with the red flower in his lapel, cut him. Yeah they are looking a code breaker not a specific one. The Canto Bight sequence is failure for them. They find a code breaker in prison. Cool.

Cut Maz Kanata. How do they learn to go to Canto Bight though?

Cut poker chip spitting from BB8.

Cut BB8 in the AT-ST.

Luke actually went to crait. He just got blasted by the lasers and died. It does not make sense to me that he died because he projected himself. Am I wrong about that?

Likely other changes too. Need to see it again.

If I were going to edit this is what you need to cut out

Cut the entire casino sequence
Keep the scene where Finn explains to Poe about what happened to him
Cut flying liea flying
Cut most of the porg stuff not all just some
Cut a lot of the humor down keep it a dark Star Wars movie like empire I don’t mind humor just when it doesn’t ruin the tone
Keep the Luke projection sequence it’s the best way for Luke to die there is no other way to kill one of the best characters in all of film
Just one change to the Luke projection sequence make Luke’s lightsaber green instead of blue throw the audience off
Keep snoke scenes
Keep Yoda’s scene
Keep Luke trying to kill Ben
keep Rey and kylo mind being linked why it’s great tension between the two characters just cut out some cringy lines like just put on a towel or something keep the scenes with a serious tone through out

Final the whole film should be focused on Rey kylo ren Luke snoke with the Poe side plot happening but beside that cut down 80 percent Of the Finn and rose plot just keep the scene with them in the ship they explain the entire plot in under 2 minutes then have the part where they go into the first orders main ship that is all you need with the rose and Finn plot show the scene where they meet have the scene where they explain what they want to do to Poe then have them disappear for 30 minutes of the flim then have them back in the flim when Rey gets captured just cut the final scene just end it with the falcon flying off and that would make the last Jedi a great flim

Imagine if 20th Century Fox had been in control of Star Wars, i.e. Lucas didn’t have in his contract that he controlled the brand. Then I think a lot of these fan projects and things would have probably been policed and shut down. And we probably wouldn’t have gotten access to original sound recordings and things.

Right now, Nintendo is pretty bad at policing fan stuff. Do they not understand that a lot of this fan stuff actually helps promote their products and probably increases their sales?
