Amen, brother :-)
Amen, brother :-)
Sy Snootles doesn't sing in English in the SE. It's still horrible as f*ck, don't get me wrong, but she does sing in an alien language in the SE too.
A digital download could very well just be the GOUT.
I don't think that is necessarily true. I actually think it's quite the opposite - people wanted Star Wars in HD and the 2011 BD was (and is) the only way to get it, so they bought it. But that doesn't mean, that many of them wouldn't have preferred the unaltered version if it was available, I mean, most of us own the 2011 BDs, right?
So, if they just re-released the 2011 version, those people, who already bought the BDs would have no incentive to buy them again but if they released the OOT, a lot of people would buy the new release, even if they already own the 2011 one.
Like I said, I think this creature will probably feature in the movie walking in the far back of a wide shot and for that it is just fine and it would be pointless to make it more detailed (like in the original SW, a lot of those background aliens would have looked horrible under closer inspection but they worked just fine as just a part of a background crowd). And I think this creature has been featured so prominently in that clip is because it's partly a joke and partly because they don't want to show us the good ones yet.

Roger Christian recently confirmed rumours of digital versions becoming available in November 2014. It's possible these will be the original versions.
When/where was this?
Last week's episode of Rebel Force Radio.
It would be nice to own the OUT on Blu-Ray, but I don't see the point when Harmy's Despecialized Editions are on the internet. But to each his own I suppose.
If a proper restoration of the OOT came out, I would be the first in line to buy it - the DeEd is far from perfect with some of its sources being pretty low quality, but mainly the fan preservations were never meant to replace official releases, just supplant them until they are available.
Use Subtitle Workshop - if it's the same cut but different speed, you can set the time of first and last subtitle and then it moves all the other subs accordingly.
So, how about doing both and then averaging the two results?
I think that this guy will likely be just walking in the background or something like that.
Well, the latest word is, that I tried everything and then some and the computer still won't work with four RAM sticks, so I'll probably finish the projects currently in the works with the 16GB RAM and then take a hiatus, while I try to exchange the mobo.
Here's a trailer I made for the PARTLY DESPECIALIZED EDITION like four or five years ago. The technical execution is horrible, but the idea is there :-)

Not necessarily, because the foreground element is out of focus, I think they could have put the mask out of focus, which would hide the matting.
Still, you're probably right though.
I'd like to know this myself - and even if there aren't new versions, would it be possible to get DTS HD encodes of the old ones? Thanks!!!
I'm grabbing the JSC right now! What a great way to preserve the JSC - all on one disc with high quality encode - love it! Thanks to althor1138 and everyone else involved! Now, my question is - did anyone make a JSC inspired BD cover and disc label for this release? If not, I'll probably make my own and then I'll be happy to share it :-)
Thanks!
So, how would the command look if I have a video, which is 1280x544 and I want it to be 1280x720?
For example in this script:
reel1=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE 01.avi", audio=false)
reel2=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE 02.avi", audio=false)
reel2_1=reel2.Trim(0, 8696)
reel2_2=reel2.Trim(9019, 25486)
reel2_3=reel2.Trim(25530, 40230)
reel2_ins1=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE\v2.5\Vader green lights 1 new.avi", audio=false)
reel2_ins2=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE\v2.5\Han 1st New_1.avi", audio=false)
reel2_new=reel2_1++reel2_ins1++reel2_2++reel2_ins2++reel2_3
reel3=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE 03.avi", audio=false)
reel3_1=reel3.Trim(0, 20651)
reel3_2=reel3.Trim(20694, 39460)
reel3_3=reel3.Trim(39564, 48434)
reel3_ins1=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE\v2.5\Vader green lights 2 new.avi", audio=false)
reel3_ins2=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE\v2.5\Obi-Wan coat.avi", audio=false)
reel3_new=reel3_1++reel3_ins1++reel3_2++reel3_ins2++reel3_3
reel4=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE 04.avi", audio=false)
reel4_1=reel4.Trim(0, 39136)
credits=AVISource("K:\FINAL ENCODE\v2.5\Credits_1.avi", audio=false)
reel1++reel2_new++reel3_new++reel4_1++credits
assumefps(24000,1001)
Can anyone help me with what command should I use to add black bars to my video in avisynth - so far I always rendered all my lossless videos with the black bars already in but with lossless, it adds a lot of unnecessary bitrate and therefore size.
Good for you, man :-) Happy Birthday!
What? That was some really bad CGI in my opinion. Like early 1990s bad.
Well, for episodes II and III, it would probably come out less detailed than the BD with all the same problems - except there would be a layer of grain giving it a more film-like look - but that could be done digitally with the BD as well.
But for episode I, it could actually come out better than the DVNRed BD.
Yeah, it's definitely a different take of the speeder - as to whether the foreground element was originally comped in, I don't know but it is actually quite likely - they would have comped it in to cover the wheels.
I like the sound of that bit about erasing the SEs and the Prequels from the canon, that would be pretty awesome :-D
The whole thing's probably a farce though.
There isn't a single 4K screen in my city (out of around 20 screens altogether) and I just went to see Noah the other day and sat pretty close to the biggest screen in that cinema and the 2K projection was just terrible on such a big screen - I could clearly see the pixel grid on the whole thing and it was distracting as hell (the movie sucked a** too, btw. and to add insult to injury, the audio was very uncomfortably loud and the 1.85:1 movie was projected on a 2.35:1 screen in pillabox), so I think it's a very good thing if 4K's becoming a standard.

This article illustrates nicely, why IMO it may not be such a bad thing, that the existing EU got trashed :-)
Horrizontal - so, 2K is 2048x1080, so only slightly higher than 1080p, which is 1920x1080.
