Thanks! Downloading now :-)
Thanks! Downloading now :-)
Yeah, unfortunately it is but I so am not uploading another version now - the info is clear in the readme file.
I'm fully expecting to get some 35mm sources for the next version but I expect Jedi v2.0 will be a fairly fast process, so I will reserve the wait for 35mm sources for the next version.
Is this still available?
Well, I do plan to see what else can be done about it but have no specific plan yet.
v2.0 of Star Wars had no 35mm footage.
Maybe - I'd need someone to sync the DTS discs to the BD before I could make that version though.
OK, the fixed MKV is up at tehparadox now!!!
@Tobar: Yes, it's there.
@Nick66: The '93 track isn't missing, it's just not named - all you need to do, is open the MKV in MKV Merge and put "2.0 Dolby Digital (1993 LD mix)" in the description of track 5 and set its language to English.
That's already available somewhere - made by someone else but sanctioned by me.
Yeah, the compact release is still on but it may take me a few days to get around to doing it.
OK, it's re-muxed, rared and I'm about to start uploading.

I guess my post couldn't be last forever... AntuFaalb, I'm impressed you actually haven't seen any of the SE versions this whole time. Still, the '97 SE isn't as consistently irksome as watching what they did from '04 and on.
Harmy, if you don't get the scenes you wanted from that iTunes book, are 35mm scans of Jedi becoming available instead? I have no idea how far along -1 is.
As of now, I have no 35mm footage for Jedi and the way it looks, I don't expect to for the near future, so it seems that v2.0 will be using the same sources as v1.0 and the improvement will mostly be only in the over-all picture quality.
Well, crap - I must have forgotten to add the information about the '93 track in when I was switching out the GOUT track I already had for the file h_h sent me. I guess I will re-upload it but if you've already got it, I'd recommend simply putting it trough MKV Merge and adding the info yourselves, rather than re-downloading. It may be prudent though to take down the spleen torrent for now - I should have the fixed version up on uloz.to within an hour or so.
I will also change DTS-HD to DTS-HD MA and I will add the request for help with Project 3P0 to the readme.
Is there anything else I could fix, while I'm at it?

BTW, Harmy, did you see my question a few pages back about the source of the opening scroll and the yellow bleeding at the bottom?
I have. Have you been reading this thread? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be an ass, it's just getting a bit tiresome answering the same questions a hundred times over.
The v2.0 MKV is now available from tehparadox! Info added to the first post.
Yeah, it's supposed to be the TB 97SE.
Also, here's a completed comparison gallery:

This is a reconstruction of the 1980 theatrical version of The Empire Strikes Back. The original shots were painstakingly
restored using various sources (listed below) and the film received an extensive shot by shot colour correction.
The remastered version (v2.0) represents a significant improvement in picture quality over the earlier 1.0 version
due to the use of better encoding and higher quality sources and replacing many of the despecialized shots with
higher quality ones.
The MKV version contains a large number of audio tracks, including the latest versions of the preservations
of the original audio mixes in DTS-HD, three different commentary tracks, an isolated score and dubbing
tracks in 13 different languages.

If you want to watch with subtitles, take your chosen subtitle .srt file from the
"Subtitles - Project Threepio" folder, copy it to the folder with the .mkv file and
rename the .srt file to the same name as the .mkv file, while keeping the .srt extension.
So for example, if you wanted to watch with Bulgarian subtitles, you would copy the file
"SW-bg-full.srt" from the "Subtitles - Project Threepio" folder to the folder with the
"The.Empire.Strikes.Back.Despecialized.Edition.v2.0.mkv" file and rename the file to
"The.Empire.Strikes.Back.Despecialized.Edition.v2.0.srt".

You just shared the link too.
See, that's why I need a few more sets of eyes on it! Thanks!
OK, here's the NFO I made for the MKV, could you guys please check it for mistakes? Thanks.

Also, I was wondering, would there be any technical disadvantage to making the container of the smaller cropped version mp4 instead of mkv? Doing this should help avoid confusion.
Yeah, I was wondering that too.
Yes, exactly, all the ORIGINAL mixes. The '93 mix is not original, plus the only difference between the '93 mix and the '80 mix as far as we know is that in the '93 mix, one speeder crash sound effect is missing, so it's hardly worth having it add nearly 1GB to the MKV.
I don't want the lossless version, I just want to have an AC3 there for completeness and I've already got it, thanks to someone on the forum :-)
I also realized, that in v2.5 of SW, I had the '85 LD mix as well - was the '85 mix of ESB different in any way? Or in other words, is it worth searching for and including?
Harmy said:
I just found out that I only have the '93 mix for ESB from the PAL GOUT - could someone please upload a better AC3 of it for me?
Anyone? This is now the only thing keeping me from finishing the MKV release.
