Yes, I'd prefer the forced subs be auto-selected with the audio track.
Also, I prefer the white text over the yellow for the buttons.
I have no preference either way on the track selection screens.
Another thing - I think it would be OK to lower the bitrate of some of the audio tracks instead of leaving out subtitle options - for example the commentary tracks are prime candidates for using a very low bitrate on them. And maybe we could even slightly lower the bitrate of some of the dub tracks.
Worst case scenario, I could also encode the video with a slightly lower bitrate - the difference should be absolutely minimal.
Thanks for doing this guys - I'm glad someone stepped up because I don't like this kind of work much.
You would hope wrong.
The bonus stuff was always intended for a separate bonus disc. I still hope to finish it but the movies themselves take precedent.
You may want to go a few pages back and watch some of the v2.0 sample videos :)
Is it possible to add DVD quality subs to BD?
I'm visiting ny folks, so I'm on my phone now and don't have access to my pc. I will email you when I get back home (later today) and we can work out the details. I hope I can still find the project files for that background video I created a while ago.
@analog: Sounds great. Would it be possible to put a simple looping video in the background of the main menu?
@everyone: thanks for all the well wishes and if there's anyone here who's a financial expert, I could use some advice on the best way to be employed by a US company in an EU country.
When I said SW work, I meant Despecialized of course :)
No, at least for now. I'll be working from home - I have a very fast internet connection (around 90Mb/s both down and up) and they will set me up with some really powerful hardware.
If anyone was wondering, for my SW work, this is only positive - I will be quite busy I'm sure but I've been quite busy in my current job and now I should also be more a master of my own time and I will learn some new skills.
Link?
I'm sorry, is this the "discuss what you don't like about the original trilogy" thread?
No, that is a standard def PAL (720x576) digital broadcast (there were actually several different ones). I've used them in a few scenes instead of GOUT.
A month ago, I would have said it might be done in a month, since then I've finished like three shots all-in-all out of about 150, which is the exact reason I never give ETAs any more.
Well, the color reference for v1.0 was the GOUT with boosted saturation.
Yes, that's v1.0, just as I thought.
Do you know what version is the 720p file?

A color correction sample - the colors of the BD are unbelievably effed up - I had to try and match the colors of the N1 scan as precisely as possible here, because part of the previous shot from this angle is missing from the BD, so it had to be replaced by the scan and this one had to match as closely as possible.
Well, it's the normal sort of busy, nothing terrible, just work and such :-)
Slowly. I'm super busy IRL.
^Wow.
You should order a BD player instead - they are dirt cheap now.
I think, since Ady is doing Revisited at 720p, the deleted scenes from the DVDs could probably be upscaled quite satisfactorily, especially from PAL DVDs (if of course they aren't just NTSC conversions). And the deleted scenes inside the bunker in ROTJ could probably be used at 720p quite well too, given some cleanup and enhancement.
Especially if those prints were made using different techniques. I've always felt that being able to combine information from several different prints into a single image was the main advantage of Legacy and a great way to arrive at something that is much closer to the original source but not only in terms of its detail but also in terms of its flaws.
