You didn't like Avatar? Funny the critics said the same thing yet it made a crap load of money.
Yeah, so did the SW prequels. I didn't hate Avatar but it's really not that great IMO.
Cool, no problem :-)
OK, what did you guys not understand about my previous post?
The search function really needs an improvement. I wanted to find one that was already made but the last post in this one is over a year old. How do you always find these Moth3r?
Well, yeah, I was hoping you would. I'm hoping to get v1.2 done in a few weeks.
So, are you guys planning on doing an HD version only or an SD DVD as well?

;-)
What is the best brand of blank optical media to use for burning?
Here, discus ;-)
Oh, don't do that. Alongside Verbatim, I sometimes use Sony DVD-DL and those are ok but never Memorex - every single Memorex CD/DVD I ever burned stopped working after a relatively short time.
No, I never used it in v1.0.
Maybe that's because of bad ADR, because there's a lot of bad ADR lipsync in ROTJ.
I still maintain that two frames is a negligible difference, as proved here:

OK, it would be great if you could do that Jan, I'll just switch the sources and try to re-render using that :-)
This one was from your V8, Arnie.d, but to be honest, I don't think it could get much better, though I'll be happy to be proven wrong.
Thanks guys :-)
Yeah. After seeing the great clean-up job Laserschwert did on Puggo's PSB sample, I asked him if he could clean up the JSC flyby shot for me. He sent me a few versions with different settings and I finished the clean-up in AE and then I had a smear-free version, which was cleaner looking then the GOUT, so I didn't use GOUT at all. I also tweaked the colours of the JSC clip and then used it as a chroma layer for the whole shot to make the colours more even.
Hey guys. Here's a new video:

Big thanks to Laserswert for helping with cleaning up the JSC video.
Well, to be honest, 2 frames shift is not enough of an issue for me to redo the whole project (I sure as hell can't notice it and I'm sure the majority of people can't). But if h_h decided to make a new version with perfect sync, I'd sure like that, although everyone would have to remux it themselves. I'm actually planning (and cooperating with some members here) to make a separate download of alternate audio tracks and subtitles for my projects with a video tutorial of how to remux in TS Muxer.
I don't mind his opinions. I get them. There are people on this site who have similar opinions - they like the SE, so they don't mind watching the Blu-Ray version, but they'd like to see the OOT released as well.
My problem with Ken is that he isn't making sense most of the time and tends to totally overlook arguments.
Thank you :-)
I know about that lightsabres issue and I really tried to do it differently but it just wouldn't go. I was using Ady's 97SE HD version as a basis (which had the same colours as his reconstruction) and the sabres were definitely too dim there, making the cores dull. But when I increased brightness and contrast to compensate, it created this haloing issue, so there's not much I can do about that. I agree that the colours of the sabres could use an improvement though, I'll definitely work on that.

Star Wars is still going strong today with the clone wars cartoon series and the blu-ray release and the 3-D release coming soon. Their are people who still like star wars.
I don't see what that's got to do with anything, all these people who like the Clone Wars cartoon would probably still like STAR WARS even if the original trilogy was only cleaned up and rereleased that way in 97.
Tell me about shitty computers getting in the way...
EDIT: Oops, I seem to be a bit late to the party. This was in response to Ken's post 7780:
Why are you telling us this? The changes do take away my enjoyment of the films. Big time! Why should I care about your enjoyment of the films any more then you care about mine?
And there was an easy way to please everyone who likes STAR WARS. Because all those people who liked STAR WARS before 1997 liked the original versions, an easy way to please all of the would have been not to make any changes. What is so hard to understand about that?
These are very distracting for me, because they're not random scratches, they seem to keep appearing throughout the film, I hope those can be erased.
Sorry, man, didn't mean to get snappy :-)
