Our donut shop was out of donuts.
Our donut shop was out of donuts.
I played that game once. I managed to beat the folks who grew up on it. So I guess it plays similarly enough to Mario Kart. Not as fun though.
Yeah, it sucks. But it’s been that way for awhile.
It’s just getting worse, though. My grandmother had a friend who invented an electric engine sometime in the 50s or 60s, patented it, the whole thing. Apparently, the feds confiscated it as being a “threat to national security” and completely destroyed him. From what transpired with Tucker, that’s not too far fetched. I’m sure there are plenty of other similar stories out there.
This film has never had good art.
That sucks. I always wanted one, but settled for the normal grey one.
Ah, the N64. What a legendary system.
Seriously, just look at those games. I can’t name one on the new Xbox and PlayStation that could sell a system. Well, maybe Uncharted 4. But still.
Yeah, pretty much. We already got four lackluster films. But I’m cautiously optimistic, since Stewart seemed a little wary to return. So I’m hoping that whatever they pitched him, was a good enough idea that will show in the finished production.
I suppose as long as you can recognize how that assumption could be made, it can be avoided in the future. And that’s all that matters, really.
Also, I want to bitch about my own driving skills being terrible. Scratched a guy’s car while trying to park and he got my insurance information.
Walmart is the most happening place at 2am. Only place open here at that time.
That makes no sense to me. How can they put it on Netflix and not on their own service? I’m going to have to read some more on this deal.
EDIT: As far as I can gather, Turner has the broadcast/streaming rights to all the films made up to the point the deal was made. Hence why Netflix has the new films. I guess.
Definitely. Reading into the production of the film is pretty interesting too. Hitchcock was never happy with it, the studio forced Paul Newman and Julie Andrews into it, discarded the Bernard Hermann score, and forced him into production before he was satisfied with the script. Kind of wild, really.
Not in Nevada. At least, that’s what they told me.
Huh. They sound like terrible people. Not really a surprise, seeing the people who tend to have power in other churches.
There just wasn’t very much going on in Torn Curtain. It felt pretty standard, and by that time other filmmakers were doing Hitchcock better than Hitchcock with things like Charade. Marnie had the benefit of the psychological stuff, which was interesting, and most of Hitchcock’s old crew.
We definitely had that conversation before. That was before FilmStruck came around.
That’s absurd.
Yeah, but who cares about other people?
Sneakers is a lot of fun. I’d never heard of it either, but they play it on cable all of the time. Also recently saw Torn Curtain, but I saw it immediately after seeing Marnie, so I wasn’t very impressed with it.
Pity there isn’t some sort of video store one can rent physical media from these days. 😉
I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Is that a recent photo?
Don’t know the answer to the question but that’s what the family video in my town looks like.
Family Video has been around forever, and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Karen Gillan is just perfect.

My community banned Walmart. We have another giant 24-hour megaplex instead.
What’s with the 90s clothes?
Welcome back, Ripplin.
I take credit for this one.
I have no idea what that means!
