I can’t wait to get a new TV. I think by the next time I move, 4K OLED will be mature enough that it will be affordable, and I can replace my cheap 32" Samsung LED-backlit LCD. The black levels are terrible.

LED LCDs are something I could never stand. I just use it for my computer monitor. Would never buy an expensive LCD.

I tested out of a class I really didn’t want to take, and passed!

Nice, that’s always a relief!

Thanks, I wish I could test out of every class, really, haha. But this piece of paper is my ticket out of limbo.

I’m no longer ‘Obese’, I’m just ‘Overweight’ now!

Excellent! What would you say your “end goal” is? I say end goal, but of course it’s not so much an end but moreso a place to maintain.

Doctor Who
Time

The writing was too heavy on needless exposition.

New doctor, new showrunner, new creative team tends to bring in a new audience.

Well, that was the best episode I’ve seen in a very, very long time. Character arcs that make sense, no big speeches, a menacing villain with real stakes, and, most noticeably, an actual atmosphere.

It was coherent too!

This just makes me even more pissed at Moffat for not leaving with Smith, and wasting Capaldi’s entire tenure. A great Doctor with little to no great stories to match.

Venom – Okay. Paper-thin characters, predictable plot, and it takes way too long for the titular character to show up. But once he does, it has its moments. Certainly not a disaster, but moderately enjoyable. Terrible film though.

Beat the Devil – Huston, Capote, and Bogart? Surprised this was as boring as it was. Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for it. A farce in the guise of a noir, I just couldn’t get myself to care.

Damn…it would be easier if there was an ISO file already available.

There will be a full Blu-ray disc release eventually. Patience.

Patience? You’re talking to someone who’s still waiting for 4k83.

My, what an entitled attitude. 4k77 took years, YEARS, with the DNR version only released last month, and you’re complaining about waiting for their next project?
