So I hear that this new film will take place between either the first film (1978) and the second film (1980) or after the 2nd film. That sounds kind of dumb and lazy.

That's the first I've heard of the former. The latter is apparently the direction they're going with it, but Singer is adament the first two films are merely a "vauge history." Whatever that means...

Setting it inbetween the first two Reeve/Donner films is reportedly the reason why they cast 26 year old Brandon Routh, based on how close in age he was to Reeve at the time. And yet, they cast 22 year old Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane, and she's a good few years younger than Margot Kidder was then (not that I ever liked Kidder - Kidder always annoyed me). Also they failed to create a suit that matches what Reeve wore in those earlier films.

Warbler, I'm hoping and praying that this movie fails. Singer building it off of the Donner films is just lazy and uncreative, plus they belong to a different era. Chris Nolan didn't try to build off of the Tim Burton films for Batman Begins.

Harvey and Bob Weinstein's new multimedia entity the Weinstein Co. is in final talks with Barbara Schneeweiss to develop a TV slate that includes a show based on Robert Rodriguez's Sin City movie, Variety reported. Schneeweiss worked with the Weinsteins for years while serving as a television executive at Miramax.

The Sin City TV series would follow 2006's sequel to Rodriguez's 2005 movie, based on Frank Miller's graphic novel series. Miller co-directed the movie with Rodriguez.

Yeah, I heard about that. Does not sound good.

You haven't seen a movie, but you come in to chime with your uniinformed opinion? That's great. If you knew anything about films, you would know that Domino is directed by Tony Scott (Ridley's brother) and that he has given us MANY great ones throughout the years. Everyone whose opinion I trust have said that the flick is on point. I plan on catching it this week and forming my own opinion with first hand knowledge. Sorry if I sound harsh, but there is nothing I hate more than fanboys ready to piss on something that they have no personal knowledge of. AICN Talk Back syndrome, I think it's called.

You got a problem, Jackie Lu?

And now we've found each other.

Part of the issue(maybe), is not really changes to a movie be it on a Directors Cut or Special Edition. it is the Original Cut being available on a decent format, along side the Directors/Special Edition cut of a movie , so the FAN has the CHOICE of which version/or both they want to view and the Original Cut not being consigned to annals of film history never to be viewed a decent format again.

If the Original Cuts were available a lot of fans of these movies, may well be happy for as many Directors Cuts and Special Editions as possible, because as long as you have the Original Cut, you dont have to buy or watch these Directors Cuts or the Special Editions..(you may like both cuts, who knows????)

Excellent point.

Neither Yahoo Upcoming Movies nor IMDb even have it listed as being anything at this point. Not even video designation. There's no page for this film on either site whatsoever. But I had read that news yesterday as well (about Perlman signing, that is).

Do you think Perlman's a good choice for the Conan vocal role or not? Personally I think it sounds fine, considering the things that man can do with his voice.

Venom is probably one of the scariest, freakiest villains ever featured in comic books, and I really can't see Topher Grace pulling him off, physically and in terms of acting and intensity. I know there are folk who will point to Michael Keaton as Batman, but while Topher Grace is an okay actor, he's no Michael Keaton.

Have we gone over Topher Grace being reportedly cast as Venom/Eddie Brock for Spider-Man 3? I have a bad feeling about that.

I've heard reports that that story has been retracted. Grace is in the movie, but reportedly someone else is playing Venom.

Thank God...

What movie are those photos from? She is definitely fine.

Sweet November, starring Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron. I haven't seen it, but those pics came up when I did a Google image search on Lauren Graham and I felt they had to be shared.
