But the post-SE Han Solo remembers to shoot first at Darth Vader even though Vader merely stood up and made no threatening motions towards him (unless you count being six inches taller and probably a 100 pounds heavier as being threatening). Why is that?

Off topic, can you guys imagine a Star Wars film (specifically Return of the Jedi) directed by Richard Donner?

Now here's something really twisted - Chewbacca VS Roy Batty.
And not quite as twisted, Han Solo VS Captain James T. Kirk. We can't pit Kirk against Luke because that's no contest - Luke would just fling Kirk away with the Force. Or he could challenge Kirk to a race and then leave him in the dust.

No wonder the value of the American dollar is in decline.

Yeah I know. It's always weird watching "That 70s Show" and listening to his character brag about what a strapping lad he is when he's lanky as Hell.

I'm honored.
I asked a friend of mine the same question once and she said that it wouldn't matter because no matter who wins, Chewbacca would rip off Indy's arms.

The screenplay was by Lorenzo Semple Jr., who knows from camp; he was head writer on the Batman TV series of the late 1960s. They chose Sam J. Jones based on his looks, and surrounded him with very talented actors, most of whom were in on the joke. The production values on the film were extremely high, which leads me to believe that Dino DeLaurentiis may not have been in on the joke.

Do you think Sam J. Jones was in on the joke?
Speakin' of which, there was this rumor going around that Ashton Kutcher was up to star as Flash Gordon in a remake, and what creeped me out was that Kutcher actually does look like Sam J. Jones.

That's what happens when you appear in a Star Wars prequel. At least he was smart enough to get out after just one. "Actors prefer to work with actors." I love that quote.
To be honest, I would rather have seen General Zod as the Emperor instead of Ian McDiarmid.

I actually enjoy Hudson Hawk (and I noticed ADM compare it to Arrested Development - simply the best show on TV, period).
And I think Flash Gordon (1980) is awesome.

Didn't they make the 1980 Flash Gordon "bad" on purpose?
