Wow.

I don't have any pics of myself on the computer at the moment. I'll give you a vague outline: 22 years old (23 in December), 6'3", 151 lbs, light brown hair, brown eyes, beard. I've been told that I look like Kenny Loggins and I've been told I look like one of the Bee Gees singers (I forget which one; might have been Barry). I've always considered myself rather hideous to behold.

I find Rupert Grint very annoying. His inability to speak clearly and coherently grates my nerves. Whenever he's required to speak it comes out in mumbles; I hate that.

And, fresh from IMDB today 4/12/06, a new reason to hate Tom Cruise -

The Mission: Impossible III actor, who embarked on an anti-drug tirade in TV interviews last summer on behalf of his Scientology beliefs, has launched a fresh attack on psychiatry, calling for prescription pill poppers to think carefully about the harms they're doing to their bodies. He tells the magazine, "I've always found the 'if it makes me feel better, it's OK' rationale a little suspect. I think it's appalling that people have to live a life of drug addiction when I have personally helped people get off drugs." In the interview, the actor claims he can get someone off heroin in three days through Scientology's detox programs.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but the movie starring Ron Perlman as Hellboy was my first exposure to the character, and I hear that an animated series is slated along with the 2007 sequel, so if anyone has any advice regarding where to start with acquiring Hellboy comics, please enlighten me.

Is it me, or has Tom Cruise only played ONE character his own life? The good looking successful man who comes up with a bad situation in life and, besides being really pissed at it, overcomes the situation. He played that same "I can't belive this is happening to me!" character on:

Rain Man
The Firm
Jerry Maguire
Mission Impossible
Minority Report
War of the Worlds

Yeah, same character in pretty much all his films. And yes, he does need to cut back on all his scientologist crap. One minute he says you can be a Catholic & a Scientologist because Scientology "deals with the soul" and the next minute it's either all 100% hardcore Scientologist or nothing. What a jackasshole.

Some of my weaknesses -

3) Snickers
4) Reece's Pieces Peanut Butter cups
5) Nestle's Crunch bars
6) M&M's
7) Skittles

Skittles, however, can only be eaten in conjunction with a fruit flavored beverage like Sprite or perhaps more appropriately an actual fruit juice (same goes for Star Bursts).

I hate this guy Evan in my music history class who keeps talking every time the classical music starts playing. We actually had to "shush" him yesterday!

I hate it when my sister steals my cell phone charger.

I hate listening to my sister yack & laugh on the phone with one of her stupid friends (her room's right next to mine).

I hate it when my sister brings her friends home for a sleep over and they stay up till 4:00 AM in the morning yacking & laughing like idiots (there's no real dialogue or conversation, just a lot of cackling and the occasional "oh my Gawd!")

I hate it that they didn't end That 70s Show back in 2004 but chose instead to stretch it out for two more very painful and pointless seasons.

I hate the Superman costume for Superman Returns.

I hated pretty much all the comic relief scenes in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

I hate Rupert Grint.

I hate Robocop 3.

I hate it that they're making a Rocky 6 along with a Rambo 4.

I hate it that they're actually going to make Indiana Jones 4.

I hate King Arthur (2004).

I hate Catwoman (2004).

I hate Elektra (2004).

I hate Die Another Day.

I hate Madonna's cameo in Die Another Day.

I hate Madonna's song for Die Another day.

I hate it that in all animated versions of Superman from the Max Fleischer serials through Super-Friends, Ruby Spears Superman and the Bruce Timm Superman/Justice League series, Superman's eyes are not really eyes but merely black dots that resemble coal.

I hate the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair.

I hate seeing beautiful brunettes and red heads dye their hair ugly platinum blonde (Laura Prepon and Bryce Dallas Howard come to mind here).

I hate Tom Cruise.

As much as I love both characters (I go back and forth as to which one's my favourite), I would much rather be Batman. As haunted and psychologically unstable as he is, Bruce Wayne has the satisfaction of having built Batman from the ground up. All of his skills, all of his strength, all of his knowledge, is nothing but his own. Striking fear into the hearts of criminals - having felons flee from you - being the Dark Prince of the Night, how can you beat that? Superman, to put it in crude terms, won the genetic lottery......

What's wrong with the genetic lottery?

As I previously said unless Batman had some kryptinite, Superman would kick his butt. As for wheither or not Superman would be able to get close enough to land the one punsh. If I am not mistaken, Superman is not only superstrong, but also superfast. Batman would not be able to avoid him for long.

Yes, Superman does possess super-speed; he's not quite as fast as the Flash but he's pretty damned fast, and a lot faster than Batman at that. Even with all that "Batman is the smartest man alive" stuff, Batman's victory would still require Superman to really hold back. After all, Superman could easily bust Batman's face open just by flicking his nose.

You know, lately the whole idea of Batman VS. Superman, it just doesn't seem as exciting as the prospect of Superman VS. Martian Manhunter.

That was a different Captain Marvel, property of Marvel comics. I was talking about the original Captain Marvel who was first owned by Fawcett comics, who were sued by DC comics for copyright infringement on the ground that he was a rip off of Superman, and later DC bought the rights to that Captain Marvel when Fawcett went belly up.

So who would you rather be - Batman or Superman?

I like 'em both, but as much as I like Batman, I'd rather be Superman, Kryptonite or no Kryptonite. Supes comes with built in powers, so he doesn't need a large bank account to provide for gadgets, he isn't a traumatized 8 year old trapped in a man's body, and he has a more upbeat outlook on life.
