Aliens DVD
Time
It's the same transfer, but the bitrate is considerably higher, resulting in a more detailed image. It's still grainy, but Cameron has always said that he intended this film to have a grainy, war documentary type of look and had his DOP push the film stock for that effect. Plus, this is the only film of the series shot flat (1.85:1), which will almost always result in a granier image (less of the frame is used).

The intelligence of SW Fan boys....
Time
Maybe the Fab 5 got a hold of the Clone Troopers uniforms and that's why the helmets changed, or maybe the troopers complained that they couldn't see through those tiny slits....

The simplest principle we teach our children is that lying is bad, because you always have to cover up one lie with another, and the whole problem eventually snowballs to the point where we forget which part is the lie and which is the truth. Do any of you think that this applies to GL and the SW movies?

Artists' rights
Time
I recently read the Lucas interview in Entertainment Weekly, which puts his comments in a slightly different perspective. I'm really beginning to get the idea that what GL and his fellow "artists" want from the current copyright regime is something more along the lines of the protections software compaines enjoy i.e. you don't own a piece of art-- you have a licence to use a piece of art for a set period with few restrictions, or an unlimited period with many restrictions. This is a stand I cannot condone, because as far as I'm concerned, once you own a DVD of a movie, it should be yours to do with as you wish, even if that means something I may not agree with, like the ClearPlay content filtering system.
