Well.........I understand that the president at the time-had hints and leads----but from my point of view---what were they supposed to do? Even if they knew it would happen----it would make not much diffrence if stations all over the pacific were put on a battle alert---the Japs still would have attacked, and we still would have lost men, and the american people would still be angry, and we would still have gone to war with Germany also.
So when you choose a side as hard as you have, proof is just a unneccessary luxury?
If we were so careful about which threats we paid attention to, then it's particularly ironic that we chose to ignore the real threat (9-11), and take action on the bogus threat (we thought Iraq had weapons of mass destruction).
