Correct. Some of us initially bought it because it was the only option and it was better than nothing. Probably not an unsubstantial number of people.

Are there any hardcore PT-first fans at Lucasfilm anymore. I can really only think of Filoni- and he’s more into Ahsoka and Rex and his other Clone Wars pet characters. It seems they pay basic lip service to the Prequels, but the ST is defiantly the main focus, with OT a little behind.
That’s an age thing, though - the children of the OT are in power at the moment (JJ, Gareth Edwards, Rian Johnson) whereas the prequel kids are too young.
Let alone Anakin’s EYEBROWS when Ahsoka took a swipe at Vader in Rebels.

I never heard about a follow up, interesting. I thought the original was pretty fair to be honest.
It does seem to have disappeared totally; it all went quiet, the website taken down, nothing since.
To be fair there isn’t a story there for a sequel so I wasn’t surprised.
I liked The People vs George Lucas. Is it time for a new documentary? One that focuses specifically on the special editions and lack of availability of the originals?
