Yoda should of been in the PT, but he shouldn't of had the kind of screen time he had.  Yoda was the head of the Jedi Council, thats pretty important.

I see no reason why we need a digital Yoda in the OT.  If you think about it, why did Yoda need to be CG in the PT?  Cause of pointless duels.  He should of been the same freakin puppet from the OT when he was in the Temple.

The idea of a CG Yoda was a good one, but CG isn't good enough yet.

It is weird that we go from CG to puppet. Mabey someday, CG will take a huge leap and GL will put a consistent, real looking CG Yoda in all 5 movies.

Jason, If Ady puts out another definate version of a SW movie, the chances are improving that the PT can be saved.  I don't care if he strips an hour off each movie, just make them lead up the the good movies.

Good points Akwat Kbrana.

I think the ending is powerful and can be made more powerful if edited correctly.

Padmes death sequence when it zooms in on the necklace was a very symbolic, emotional sequence.  This to me was the best part of the ending.

I didnt care much about the Alderaan droping Leia off sequence, but that could potentially be taken out by Adywan to keep the mystery of Luke and Leia's relationship until ROTJ.

Overall, ROTS has the best storyline and gives Ady alot more to work with rather than TPM and AOTC.

Yes, TPM is most like the OT, but who cares, it won't be made into that good of a movie.  Unless Ady has a secret plan. hmm...

both AOTC and ROTS were just as horrible and f**ked-up as TPM

Not as bad though.  Everything in AOTC until the battle of Geonosis is just as bad as all of TPM.  When I say battle, I'm talking about after they escape the arena.  The last part of the movie is promising.

Now, if ROTS can develop or build up to the ending, (which is very good)it can be up there with the OT.  I really think the blueprint is right with this movie.  If it is handled right, I really think this movie can be a very, very good movie.  The emotion is there, the story is pretty good.  With editing on Anakin, alot of ship landings taken out, less battle sequences, and overall flow improved, the movie will seem way better.  Not to mention, Ady will have alot better tech to work with by the time he gets around to ROTS.

if only because I just don't get how they're going to re-release SIX MOVIES in theaters and still make a profit after such an expensive conversion process

I hope they would just release the OT.  I don't want people who've never seen SW before, to go see TPM and think SW is stupid.

I'd put out a re-mastered OT.  No big changes, just visual enhancements, and worry about the PT when Ady gets around to it.

Thats really not a bad idea at all Bingo.

I would keep the scene in there but take out all the stupid thankings, somehow give the queen a more sarcastic blank stare at r2.  Ya know, after this scene was pointed out in the review, it just seems so stupid now.

You could even show the parts of the scene in a different order, have R2 introduced, the queen nods here head, then on to something else.

Vaderios, those before and afters are stunning.  OT-izing the film will right off the bat, make the movie seem more serious.

Yes, I don't mind the swearing, but some of the jokes were over-the-top to some people.

I posted this review at SW Message Boards and one guy said he turned it off after the second "F" word, and another just refused to watch it.

I'm sort of giving up on Lucas.  It doesn't look like he cares about how to make the movies better.

Mabey he is to busy with his TV show, hopefully he wont screw that up because that will very likely be the final nail in the coffin if he messes it up.

But when he releases TPM again, he will just worry about visuals, I guaruntee it.

All these pics of Coruscant has me wondering about possibly seeing Luke @ the very end of RoTJ in the Jedi Temple and then pulling away slowly.

I was thinking along those lines before.  I don't know what it is but, having Coruscant in the OT just seems necessary.  It would be a huge consistincy addition, but would need to be handled properly.

The idea of moving the duel to Coruscant would solve alot of problems that weve been discussing, but as Bingo says, it wouldn't make sense.

I personally don't see why we need to bag a pretty good idea because one or two things wouldn't make sense.

I see a hero's journey having to end in the capital or Temple of big boss.  A look at the capital of the Galactic Empire is how the audience will see how its conditions and inhabitants contrast with the hero's ordinary world.  Coruscant would give a better feel of a hero's journey, and how much more of a daunting task it would be.

Luke starting the film on Dagobah and having Yoda tell him he must face Vader, gets the film off to the right step.  It would make sure that everything leading up to it would be about that last duel, or the end of the heros journey.

Some things can be edited to make it work.  And the ideas of Luke in the temple at the end of the film would be emotional.  The fire place scene could be on Coruscant, somewhere that would mirror something about Vader.  Vader killed many in the Temple, so seeing him die there would be cool.

All these ideas may be too big to handle, and I'll probably be told how some don't make sense, which is fine, but I can see the ending of the film/saga alot more emotional with all these things going on.

The story needs fixing before you even think about the visuals so doing a rough work edit to prove it can be done makes more sense than worrying about the colour palette (though that does need fixing too).

No question about that.  I wonder if Ady has a plan about TPM?

And yes, let Ady worry about visuals, I expect every Coruscant scene to get an overhaul.

Bingo, another very noble post.  I love all these ideas.

First of all we need a character to follow and to be honest the only one who really fits the bill is Padme/Queen Amidala.

She fits that perfectly.  That makes too much sense in too many ways.  Shes someone who we would route for.  If she would be better developed, it creates alot more emotion for the whole saga.

The Gungan vs Droids battle could be a ruse

That would be a very good idea.  I never liked that battle and it is distracting to what TPM should be focusing on.  That battle does nothing for developing the saga, it was there to show off modern CGI at the time. The whole battle is very childish.

Do we really need to see Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the Gungan City?

If there is a way around it then I'm all for getting rid of as much stupid Gungan crap as possible.  ONLY, if this doesn't take away from the plot.

Start on Coruscant, get shot down and have to land on Tatooine and then go to Naboo.

And start with a big bang.

Starting with a bang is  something that needs to be done.  No question about it.

Starting on Coruscant would make the queen feel more like the main character.  I like where all this is going.

I'd even redub Jake Lloyd so what he does say comes across a less annoying.

I don't think re-dubbing Jake Llyod is necessary.  It would be alot more work for not a big difference.  I think he needs a new personality.  I know where GL was going with his cute, nice personality; he was trying to show how a nice kid turns into Vader.  I don't think it works.  I'd like to see him be more quiet, like a sneaky little genius.

All of this is going to take alot of time, has anyone been trying to find a new voice for Jar-Jar?  We should start now and have it come down to Ady when he comes around to it.

Will this be color corrected first, or will Ady do it last?

You're forgetting about the new "Han meets with Jabba" scenes that he added (which was pretty damn terrible and featured a god-awful CG Jabba the Hutt).

Yes, that too.

And the Fraggle Rock characters in Jabba's Palace, singing that ineffably stupid "Jedi Rocks" song. I don't know anyone who thinks that was a good idea.

That was unnesessary too.

I wonder if GL is really as good as people think he is.  ANH was a great movie, but how much did GL have to do with it?  I'll also bet that Irvin Kirshner did things his way. in ESB, hence ESB being a top 5 movie of all time.

After watching this review, I can't help but wonder if GL knows what he is doing, and if he even cared about the PT when he made them?  It is really sad.

I also really hope that he doesn't screw up this upcoming T.V. series.  That could be the final nail in the coffin for George.

The guy in the review made a very good point in the movie about how everyone would just assume that the next installment of any SW movie would automatically be an instint hit, when really it doesn't work that way.

I have a feeling that GL might want to finally do something about this film.  It looks like he is making a CG Yoda for a SE, which is good, but he needs to sort out the important things brought up in this review.  Ady can only go so far.  George has alot more resources locked up in vaults.

So I hope this review really makes Lucasfilm feel like totall crap, and I hope they take this review as a guidline to making a their SE.

The SE wasn't that bad.  The new Mos Eisly was a good idea, but the Rontos had no business being there.

The Greedo was the only really no dought bad change.  He did good with the windows in Cloud City.

If someone were to do a bird's-eye view of Cloud City,

That would be my top choice.

Mabey even Vaders mask with Luke's head in it.  That might be weird though :)  It's not round, but could work.

If nothing good comes up, I'd just go with a couple of At-Ats, it's not like we need to start a tradition of round things to go on disc art.

If anything, that analysis depressed me. If the film fails at such a fundamental level of story and characters then how can it be fixed?

Same here.  This film may be so bad that there will only be limited things editors like Ady can do.

The main thing that will need to be fixed is the overall childish feel to the movie.  I was even wondering if it would be possible to take Jar-Jar out of the film after they go underwater.  After that he isn't needed at all.

If anything after watching the basics of how a movie should be made, ROTS actually has alot of promise.  It has a good plot to work off of.  It has the best acting of the PT, and it has a main character.

Most of the everything can be made better in ROTS.  Like in the review he said something about how the duel between Vader and Obi-Wan has alot of emotion, but it is way too long.  I totally agree there.

I can't believe how stupid TPM looks now.

I really enjoyed this.  I stayed up until 1:30 in the morning last night because I couldn't put it down.

So many very good points were made that made TPM movie look totally stupid.

What's sad is that alot of these changes really can't be made.

I'd start suggesting things but I'll save it for another thread.

I'm looking forward to Ady's response of this TPM review.

I'm going to start out saying that this "review" was incredibly done.  A couple of jokes were over the top, but this guy did have me laughing.

This review makes TPM look helpless, I thought this film had a little hope, but now that window is almost nothing.  So many huge errors were pointed out that can't be fixed.

Who is the main character?  This was one of the major points brought up and I don't know if this can even be solved.

There were alot of stupid things in the movie that now that I look at them, its like...wow.

Adywan is good...sorry great, but I don't know how far he can go into saving this movie.  He can make Coruscant look pretty, but he can't change important things like acting and storyline.

Looking at this review, I hope TPM gets a totall overhaul.  The plot needs to be simplyfied, stupid scenes need to be taken out, and very extensive editing will need to be done.

We got another 3-5 years to get this movie to where it could and should be, we can do it.

Bingo, I think you may be on to something here and I like the idea of the mobile palace, as long as it doesn't look to un-Star Wars related.

The question is what are you going to do with the shuttle landing sequence and the Vader-Palps conversation?  Will this palace attach somehow to the DS, or will it land in the hanger?

I think it would be cool to have that conversation over hologram, then when it is over, show Palps walking out of his Palace mysteriously (like at the end of ROTS on Polis Massa).  Mabey have it be storming?  Then show him dock the mobile Palace.

Mabey all the Coruscant business isn't needed, but I agree that if you would rather have the mobile palace, then showing where it came from would make alot of sense.

Those look pretty cool, although I can't see the second half of your first pic. It is cut off and now I'll have to wait until tommorow to see it on my computer. Now obviously between scenes there would need to be paning shots of Coruscant. That would make it feel more like they are there. I'm not that crazy about the idea, but I think it would be easy to do and take away some of the dull scenery in ROTJ.
