A New Hope: Retouched Edition (ANH:RTE) (<strong>FINALLY RELEASED!</strong>)
Time

INTRO UPDATE: Clashing ideas of my own mind has resulted in myself doing a faux-retro version of the opening logo combo. I switched back to the Empire Strikes Back recording for now, too. The FOX logo was switched out for a recreation of the 1956 version done by my friend Puz, modified to read the company’s current name: 20th Century Studios. The Lucasfilm logo has, for the first time ever, been swapped, for I decided to use the faux-retro old green logo seen on The Clone Wars Siege Of Mandalore. https://streamable.com/mn4gqm

NEW INTRO UPDATE: Since the franchise is purely a Disney-owned thing now, I thought of replacing the Fox logo with a Walt Disney Studios logo in a Fox style, much like DigiModification’s fan-edit intros, using my newer custom Fox logo template (which you can find here: https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/New-20th-Century-Fox-Intro-Templates-For-Star-Wars-Fan-Edits/id/91559/page/1#1466141). The Lucasfilm logo however is staying the same for now.

More New Patch Notes: Fixed a flickering error on the Home Entertainment logo. To be specific, there was a flicker problem on the line between “20th” and “CENTURY”. I have fixed the problem, and in the process of replacing the error files.

Patch notes: I fixed a glitch in the Home Entertainment version where a piece of the structure was on the wrong layer, causing it to be pitch black. I also slightly changed the resolution of the main Fox logo (scope version) from 1920x814 to 1920x816 to be consistent with the other scope ratio files.

<em>New</em> 20th Century Fox Intro Templates For <em>Star Wars</em> Fan-Edits <em><strong>(UPDATE: SECOND Expansion Pack RELEASED!)</strong></em>
Time

Over the course of time, I’ve noticed many Star Wars fan-edits use custom 20th Century Fox opening logos.

Fan-editors have used Ballyweg templates, which don’t look extremely accurate.

This will change, with an all new template pack done by myself.

Introducing the all-new Fox logo pack, based on the 2009 logo.

Here’s what the original looks like…

…and here’s what my recreation looks like.

There’s a variety of templates to choose from, each having four different aspect ratios (flat, fullscreen, open matte, and scope).

There is ALSO a recreation of the special logo they made to celebrate their 75th anniversary in 2010.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD:
You can find the new download link here:

I do wanna note that this is recommended for Blender 2.7 only. There is a readme txt that explains more about this.

Have fun with your customization efforts, my dudes.

UPDATE 2/11/22
I have also made a SECOND expansion pack! This expansion pack covers two files based on the 20th Century Fox Television and 20th Television logos from 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Here’s what they look like…

Why don’t you audition this recording of the Fox-Fanfare made by the National Philharmonic Orchestra/Charles Gerhardt, conductor for their album of ‘ESB’ released by Varese Sarabande.

That is, if a 2-channel audio-mix is what you are going for.

I tried this out. https://streamable.com/x1g81w

A New Hope: Retouched Edition (ANH:RTE) (<strong>FINALLY RELEASED!</strong>)
Time

Being inspired by Adywan and other specific fan-editors, I decided to do my own take on Star Wars Episode IV. The base of this is gonna be the GOUT DVD (2008 printing). Before you guys go crazy on me, I do wanna say that the coloring on the GOUT is actually pretty okay. It has this really vibrant feeling to itself. Anyways, I’m gonna list down changes I have done so far at the time of this writing.

The opening titles have been updated to a significant extent. The 20th Century Fox logo has been switched from the old Rocky Longo painting from the '50s to a more modern logo that began use in 2009, more specifically, the 2013 revision. I extracted the Fox logo from a DVD of “How To Train Your Dragon 2”. The fanfare score has also been swapped out from the original 1953 recording that A New Hope used, to the 1980 recording used on The Empire Strikes Back and the first two Prequels. I’m gonna have to admit that the 1953 fanfare was low quality, so I had to do something about it. It is possible I may replace the 1980 recording with another recording entirely though. The Lucasfilm logo has been changed to a custom opening reminiscent of the version seen on “Willow”. I used Blender to achieve this.

Using my own Custom Crawl Creator Template, I redid the entire crawl (obviously including the “New Hope” subtitle and Episode number). An alternate take of the main Star Wars theme is used here, specifically, “Take 19”. Obviously, the soundscape had to be redone for the first shot with the Rebel Blockade Runner being chased by the Imperial Ship, since I was using an alternate score mix. I utilized a video of the opening scene without music to put in SFX.

Here’s a video showcasing the changes implemented so far in action: https://streamable.com/d534x5

There’s gonna be some changes I will try to implement soon, such as axing “Princess Leia” from C3PO’s “No Escape” line, and maybe some new visual effects.

UPDATE 1/28/22:
Version 1.0 is nearing completion, and soon, release! I just got through the battle of Yavin and the Throne Room!

ANOTHER UPDATE
It’s finally completed! Expect a release soon.

UPDATE 2/1/22
Finally released! PM me for a link!

&quot;Star Wars Custom Logos and Opening Crawl Creator&quot; TEMPLATE FOR BLENDER 2.79
Time

In Blender, I guess you could just, like, do a keyframe for a pan-down by just right-clicking on the camera frame, and going into the object settings by clicking on the cube icon in the interface, then going to the “Transform” section. You’ll find some placement and rotation stuff there. In the rotation subsection, go drag the “X” setting. This will rotate the camera up and down.

Or, if you’re using a video editor, you can just do a simple move-down with animation keyframes.

&quot;Star Wars Custom Logos and Opening Crawl Creator&quot; TEMPLATE FOR BLENDER 2.79
Time

This is a project that I’ve been working on for a short amount of time, and just completed today. This is a Blender 2.79 project that lets you create your own custom Star Wars opening, whether it be for fan-edits or fan-films. One of the main pros it has over the “Custom Crawl Creator” by DigiModification is that you can also make your own custom versions of the opening 20TH CENTURY FOX and LUCASFILM logos.

The Fox logo you are seeing is based on the 1994 logo you see in the Prequels / Special Editions.

The Lucasfilm logo here is based off the old 1970s one (purely, this is my choice, as it is easier to edit than the more advanced logos that were used later into the company’s lifespan).

Some of the main stuff…

It is pretty easy to edit with. There is also a project file made for Vegas Pro in the folder. You can also check out the “README” txt file in the folder for additional tips on how to edit the crawl.

Check out the folder at this download link below:
