May I have the link to the New Hope edit please? It sounds really cool!

No, because there’s no footage of him doing so unfortunately. If I had like full control I would replace the youngling scene with a whole duel of him fighting like 3 Jedi Masters, but I’m limited with by the footage that’s, you know, actually been shot.

And the VFX aren’t being done by me.

Are there any fan-edits besides Adywan’s that fix R2 having inconsistent lights in ANH (the weird 85% red, 15% blue thing)?

Not really, waiting on Anakin killing Shaak-Ti scene. Had a test in both my AP classes this week and also working on my dinosaur documentary project. But this definitely isn’t getting abandoned, no worries. In fact now that I’m thinking about it I probably should spend this time fine tuning my TPM and AOTC edits.

I’m somewhat conflicted on my OT edits though. ESB is all set because ESB:R is already finished, but I’m not sure whether to wait for ANH:R HD and ROTJ:R to make my edits or use other sources as the bases first (2020 Blu-Rays and other fan-edits). I was initially going to wait for ANH:R HD for ANH, and for ROTJ do an edit of the 2020 Blu-Ray (mixed with Hal9000’s) as I was under the impression that ANH:R was coming out sooner and I figured it would take much longer for ROTJ:R to come out, but I’ve been informed that they’re actually coming out around the same time, which probably means the wait for ANH:R is going to be longer then I originally thought. I want to use the Revisited edits as the bases because of the new awesome VFX and the fixing of pretty much any goof you can think of and more (like Vader’s chest box having no glowing lights in ANH, and Luke actually looking sad when Biggs dies). But since the wait is probably going to be long I probably will make an edit of ANH using a mix of the 2020 Blu-Ray, Hal9000’s, IIFanEditore’s, Possessed (thus far I think his is the only other one besides Adywan’s that gives Vader’s chest box its lights and fixing the lightsaber jumpcuts), and possibly others. The first version of my ROTJ edit will use Hal9000’s and the 2020 Blu-Ray until ROTJ:R comes out, that was always going to be the case.

Don’t take that as me complaining about the wait for the Revisited edits btw, I understand that that amount of work takes time and I fully respect the amount of dedication he puts into his edits.

Still want the Imperial March in this movie, it sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the rest of the saga because of it’s lack of it

And yeah, I think it really works in explaining why Luke is a more powerful and experienced Jedi better as well as making the plan to free Han more sensible.

I actually do, but one thing for sure I know I don’t like is how Ahsoka says “I won’t leave you” to Vader in Rebels. It’s way more powerful to have Luke be the first one to say that to him. I like to think the reason he dies right then is because he finally heard the words he wanted to hear his whole life. And that takes a little bit of power away from that.

My jaw dropped. Absolutely stunning. The CG work is amazing and now it matches Rogue One with how the Death Star slowly rips the planet apart rather then just blowing it up in an instant, which is much more terrifying. This is definitely my favorite version of the Alderaan explosion ever done.

The only thing is IMO the choice of music, while definitely not bad, isn’t the best. I actually think Anakin’s Betrayal would work extremely well.

Just a little update here, I know I’ve been kinda radio silent and I’m sorry about that. The ROTS edit is done except for Anakin killing Shaak-Ti bit, which thankfully TheAlaskanSandman has agreed to polish the VFX for. He did say it’d take awhile though (which I completely understand as he’s doing his own amazing edits), so I may release a version with the lower quality that was uploaded on YouTube that I was originally intending on using (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWygeVBsr_Y) until he’s able to do it. I’ve also been having a bit of a problem with my editor (VideoPad Editor), for some reason it doesn’t want to load some of the audio which is a pain but I should be able to figure it out.

I’ve also decided I’m not doing the added scene for my ANH edit of Vader ordering the Lars murders, as it would ruin the surprise and shock of seeing the Lars’ burned corpses and it would’ve relied too much on reusing footage from ESB.

In the meantime I thought I’d maybe share a screenshot for an addition for my ESB fan-edit. Adywan brought back Vader’s original line “Bring my Shuttle” and removed all of the added SE stuff in which we see Vader fly to his shuttle for ESB:R (which I’m using as the base for mine), which is great, and I totally agree that was an unnecessary SE change. However I’ve always really liked that one added wide shot of Vader walking to his shuttle. I think this added shot is gorgeous. So what I’ve done is that Vader still says “Bring my Shuttle”, and the score and pacing is all the same, but I adjusted the shot of Vader walking so he rounds the corner earlier, and I’ve added back in this shot, color corrected to match Ady’s other Cloud City exteriors. I think it looks quite nice.

I can understand Ahsoka but bringing back Maul was amazing, they made him into such a good character. Still respect you tho.

I do agree with this. Vader killing her is powerful and they never should’ve taken that away.

I changed the “wall” color a little bit. In the first edit I turned Naboo into Alderaan (even in the prequels, and for Alderaan explosion I added a shot of Naboo), but for this V2 I’ll go back to having two different planets.
Nontheless I think I’ll re-add the short shots from the documentary to make the explosion more dramatic. Also, if possible, I’ll take the Alderaan shot from Episode III and work on it to make it look like it’s going to blow up.

EDIT: Anyway as soon as I finish the scene I’ll upload it. Not now, my little dog is probably going to… you know, pass on to a better life.

I’m so sorry to hear that, I recently had my pet baby corn snake randomly die, and my oldest dog died on Easter, so I know the feel. Take your time to grieve bro.

This may be a stupid question but will these be higher quality then those used in Hal9000’s edits?
