I seriously doubt if the character could be warped any more beyond what's already happened, unless she's made into an Animorph and can actually change into a cat. And not a humanoid cat, mind you, but an honest to goodness cat. Kinda like that episode of South Park were Korn shows up, and they use their Korn powers and turn into corn.
Heh, people want Morena to be Wonder Woman, Catwoman, what next? Not that I disagree, but I am curious as to what other sexy comic book character she could possibly be.
Originally posted by: Yoda Is Your Father I sometimes think how, at 25 years old, my life is probably already about a third over (assuming I even live to be an old man). That's a mildly depressing thought. Even if I live to be 100, I'm still a quarter of the way there.
Yeah, on my 20th birthday, I couldn't stop thinking, "I'm a fifth of a century old." It's kinda creepy.
Yeah, there's been a lot of crap. I didn't compare among movies, but if there was truly more for TPM than the others, I guess you could think that maybe Lucas was trying his damndest to get Star Wars back in the public eye. And I'm sure the retailers and licensees remembered how profitable Star Wars was and were begging for a piece of the pie after a 16 year movie hiatus.

TAKE A LOOK AT THE GENERAL STAR WARS FORUM. IT'S A BLOODY MESS.
True there's quite a bit of redundancy going on there, but, especially in the past few days, there have been some pretty well-thought out posts and threads. It might be covering the same territory that's been covered for nearly thirty years, but it's not like there's a whole bunch of new stuff to talk about, and it's certainly a step up from the fifteen identical threads of "the DVDs are non-anamorphic!" to keep up with. But I have felt like there are two different forums I visit here. The cast of characters are almost completely different in the General Star Wars section as there are in the Off Topic section.
And thank you for the kind words as always, YIYF. I do what I can.
EDIT: And apparently you also beat me to the defense of the General Star Wars section.
I agree. (Shouldn't this thread be in the Theatrical Cuts vs. Special Edition forum anyway?) As I said in another thread, the only changes that I actually like are the inclusion of the Biggs scene and the music at the end of ROTJ. I wouldn't prefer them over the originals, but they're the only changes that I like. And the new Battle of Yavin stuff wasn't bad. Still prefer the originals.

You get a bunch of people together for long periods of time, and there's bound to be a conflict of interest (ie. a fight) sooner or later. That doesn't mean OT.com has been turned upside-down, or that the good times are gone forever. At least, I don't think so. Things happen. Hopefully, the hostilities might resolve themselves. If Dayv truly is gone, it's a regrettable loss, and I'm definitely going to miss him. I just don't know if we can do anything about any of this, so it's probably better just to see how things play out.
Yeah, that's the one thing about this I haven't understood. Why couldn't you be a member of both forums? Why does another similar forum have to be a competition?
Originally posted by: Darth_Evil Same here YIYF. I won't even have those films in the house. All the kids I see think the original trilogy is all flawed because of things the prequels say, and they won't accept the fact that the prequels came out last. They also think the prequels are better because they have more "action." I patiently tell them that two guys waving lightsabers around and doing things phisically impossible even in the Star Wars universe isn't action. No kid of mine will be introduced to Star Wars with the prequels.
Ugh, that makes me nauseous to think that people actually think that.
As for getting your girlfriend to wear a princess Leia costume that would be really hot, but I think I'd be a little too insecure to mix Star Wars with my love life that much. Do I really love her or do I love princess Leia?
I don't know. A few years ago, I got her to act out the Han/Leia kiss scene with me, something I'd wanted to for years as well. Is that a little bit weird?
And don't forget That '70s Show where Eric had Donna dress up as Leia, complete with the buns.
Same here. I don't know why anybody would want to introduce them I-VI. Oh, wait, because George said so, and he's the man we all adore and worship, according to Rick McCallum.
But, geez, you guys all had such nice parents who don't ruin movies for you. Why the hell did I get the short end of the stick?
I remember that one too. It came on CBS in March of 2002, I believe. Sadly, I haven't seen the one that Luke Skywalker is talking about, so I don't have any help to give.
