But why would Vader head a criminal organization?
Maybe Vader would be using Crimson Dawn as an unofficial arm of the Empire (until the senate is disbanded)?
Solo is kicked out from this (because Darth Maul will be cut entirely from my 3-in-1 prequel edit, and his cameo will confuse viewers as he doesn’t appear in the prequel edit).
Or you could, you know, edit Maul out. That said, you can’t go wrong leaving out such a boring movie.
Maybe I can replace him with Darth Vader? (using new footage, green screen, and rotoscoping)
Will a 1080p version of the trilogy get a release too?
No. RotJ:R and ANH:R HD are the last two projects Adywan will be working on, and both of them will be released in 720p and NOT 1080p.
Oh. Shame. I also would’ve loved to see his vision of the Prequels. It sounded really ambitious and different.
Yeah. I wish Ady would post an updated detailed breakdown of what he was planning on doing with the prequels, just to give other editors ideas.
I’m wondering if he also planned on re-editing the sequels too.

It’s a nice line, and has plenty of meme magic behind it, but this edit is from an alternate universe, after all.
Not to get off topic, but I don’t know why Revenge of the Sith has the most Internet memes surrounding it out of all the films in the franchise.
Because of the amount of poorly-written dialogue.
I plan on having Yoda keep his saber, as well as having him be a “physical projection” (he can still clash sabers with Sidious and use the Force, but his projection cannot be killed). And yeah, I know that “projection Yoda” was your idea, but I forgot your username at the time (hence why I couldn’t put your name in the comment).
Here’s a list of things I plan on doing for my 3-in-1 prequel edit:
The edit will be called “The Fall of Skywalker: A Star Wars Story”, in a nod to The Rise of Skywalker
Have the scene in TPM where Yoda allows Obi-Wan to train Anakin as a Jedi play at the very beginning before the Lucasfilm logo plays. If not, have it play after the “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” and before the opening crawl shows up.
No mention of the Chosen One (this means that I’ll be removing most of the dialogue at the end of the Mustafar duel, and that the only line staying there is Anakin’s “I hate you!!” line).
Removing tons of awful dialogue, obviously.
Mention in the crawl that Anakin is the son of Qui-Gon (who was Obi-Wan’s old master who was also secretly married to Shmi, and he wanted Obi-Wan to train his son as a Jedi at the time of his death).
The whole “Jedi aren’t allowed to have attachments” thing is removed.
Since I’m removing most of TPM, this means that I’m removing Maul altogether, and that Jar Jar will just be a background character. This also means that Padmé is just a senator and not a queen.
Save Yoda’s lightsaber for his duel with Sidious, and he’s a Force projection during the fight (the latter idea is not mine, it’s by IlFanEditore).
Some edits will be borrowed from other edits by users such as Hal 9000, ForceGhostRecon, IlFanEditore, etc.
After the binary sunset scene, the film ends with Anakin’s full transformation as Vader, ending with the shot of the metallic bed moving as we see a close-up of Vader’s helmet (no traditional Star Wars end credits theme, and will instead use this track by Alan Silvestri but without the Avengers theme at the end)
Nah, he should skip straight from Mace’s pre-Palpatine’s-“I am the Senate!”-line dialogue to Palpatine saying “It’s treason, then”.
Yeah, that’s how it’s currently cut and it works well. I just missed the line is all.
Ah, I see. (It’s just that I haven’t seen the edit, but maybe later…)
Maybe the reason he suddenly changed in-between these two scenes is because he was manipulating Rey?
Nah, he should skip straight from Mace’s pre-Palpatine’s-“I am the Senate!”-line dialogue to Palpatine saying “It’s treason, then”.
I don’t remember Kylo ever saying anything about wanting to destroy the First Order. In his “let old things die” speech, he mentioned Snoke, Luke, the Sith, the Jedi, and the Rebels, but he never mentioned the First Order.
Fixed my comment.
This is cool! Something else that I really like about your direction is how you’re not just trying to make changes to plot or characters, but you’re also trying to make it feel more in line with the OT by changing the score, color grade and sound design. I think it is sort of a balancing act, trying to find the right amount of change, but I think you’re going in the right direction.
Are you considering having Anakin fly straight through the trade federation ship or just land in it? It has been done before but is something I’ve considered doing myself.
If you’re talking to me, I said that the only scene in TPM that I’ll include is the scene where Yoda allows Obi-Wan to train Anakin as a Jedi. (We can have Obi-Wan meet Anakin as a pilot off-screen to be more in line with Obi-Wan’s dialogue in RotJ)
And because I’m re-editing the prequels into a 3-in-1 Anthology film, when I re-edit IV-IX, I’ll rename them to I-VI.
My viewing order will be: Rogue One, ANH:R HD, ESB:R, the 3-in-1 prequel Anthology edit, RotJ:R, TFA (NevarGreat), TLJ (my upcoming edit), and TRoS (my upcoming edit). Solo is kicked out from this (because Darth Maul will be cut entirely from my 3-in-1 prequel edit, and his cameo will confuse viewers as he doesn’t appear in the prequel edit).
I’m planning on re-editing the prequels into one film (yeah, I know that it has been done many times), in which The Phantom Menace is mostly removed, there is no Chosen One prophecy (because it’s a cliche, it’s never mentioned in the original or sequel trilogy, and it’s one of the main reasons the sequel trilogy undermines Return of the Jedi), and it focuses mostly on Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith (the bad dialogue will be trimmed). The only part of The Phantom Menace I’m keeping is the scene where Yoda allows Obi-Wan to train Anakin, and I’ll have it at the very, very beginning of the movie before the Lucasfilm logo shows up (similar to how some MCU movies have scenes that play before the Marvel Studios logo plays).
Can anyone tell me why Kylo suddenly changes from wanting to build a new order and let the past die to just deciding to be in charge of the First Order? It is not at all clear what prompts this change of heart.
Do you plan on re-editing ESB or RotJ or any of the sequel trilogy films?

I’ve always thought that not only was Leia’s digital recreation not ready for prime-time, but from a dramatic standpoint, it was a really poor decision. George Lucas spent almost all of the beginning of Star Wars hiding her for a reason, which is basically undone with its direct prequel showing a weirdly emoting digital version of her just before the movie starts. Plus, the sort of hope Leia had in Star Wars isn’t the kind that looks all moony eyed and gently smiling. She’s harried and pissed off basically the entire movie. She should be determined and serious on that bridge. Not quietly pleased.
Really, the most we should have seen is the back of her on the bridge. The doors closing on her should have been the iris out, and it should have been underscored with Leia’s theme, not the Force theme.
The only real problems with digital Tarkin are the lighting (he’s a little TOO translucent and starkly lit, he should be flatter) and the way his mouth moves unnaturally. I don’t understand why they didn’t just keep the original actor’s mouth so they didn’t have to worry about animating that part incorrectly. I don’t know if a fan-project could figure out a way to fix the mouth movements, but if someone does, that effect will be essentially flawless.
There’s a deepfake video of Tarkin.
PM sent.
Render the opening crawls in Aurebesh.
Don’t forget the Star Wars logo, the “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” sentence, and the end credits.
PMs sent!

Here’s a suggestion for your upcoming edit: after the credits and before the Lucasfilm logo plays, insert Palpatine’s laugh from the teaser for The Rise of Skywalker, foreshadowing his return. (You can find a version of the teaser without the music here so you wouldn’t have to waste time removing the notes at the end of Palpatine’s laugh)
Okay, I found some time this morning to play a little, and was able to replace one of the stormtroopers in the wide running shot with phasma. In fact, it’s the stormtrooper that Finn jumps over as they run towards the shuttle. The only question would be how to get her into the previous shot. I think the trooper immediately over Finn’s shoulder would be too difficult with all of the rotoscoping that would need to be done. It also doesn’t appear perspective-wise to line up with the trooper than Finn jumps over. This is first pass, so curious if this plus a more obvious reveal in the first shot would work!

“Good…” - Palpatine
ANH: Revisited, ESB: Revisited, TPM (fan edit), AtoC (fan edit), RotS (fan edit), RotJ: Revisited, TFA (NeverarGreat), TLJ (my upcoming edit), and TRoS (fan edit).
Half of those edits aren’t even out yet.
I know that. It’s just for the future.
