Tempting offer indeed... except I don't have a scanner or even a projector...

Earlier back on the Wishlist thread there was some discussion about the original Death Star explosion.
I have a nostalgic attachment to it but I can see how it could be made to feel more like a small moon being ripped apart by an internal explosion rather than a disco ball full of glitter being popped by a firework in slow motion.
This otherwise silly and spoilerific ROTJ poster :
shows the Death Star shattering.
It might work to see larger chunks being thrown away by the explosion than the microfragments we see in the original and SE versions.
I'm thinking that chain of explosions from "Sim Wars".
Looks smashing!
1977: Riveting!
2004: Bit of a whine to it, but not bad actually.
2011: Honestly - this would've been better. (doesn't sound much different though - might need some work)
I'm inclined to concur. It does make the film look much more recent, although I don't know if that's what you're aiming for.
That appears to be some other edit not involving Adywan.
If I had the time and equipment, I'd probably do a restoration of our old Star Wars video tapes. Although mind you... others have done it better than I can.
Perhaps I should consider searching for something rarer that I can preserve somehow.
Ah, well, I used it anyway. Anyway, here's the rest of them!
Also, 2 and 5 come in both black and white flavours, so you can have a chequered set -
- or a half-and-half set.
Downloads available on request.
Episode VII: The Wrath of Karn
Episode VIII: The Search for Yaddle
Episode IX: The Voyage Home
Episode X: Filing Royal Taxes
Again, I had no idea this thread existed! Still, I'm going to make use of it...
I've also sent some money over. I don't know if it's enough though - for all I know it might've ended up as just 0.20 CZK or something...
Sure, I can give it a shot. I may have trouble finding decent quality shots to work from though - is there a borderless version of Drew's posters around anywhere?
I see. I'll have to check the other sources I have.

Yes.
I don't think it was in the original '77 sound mix - was it?
Also, I'll try swinging a donation by sometime this evening.
Another thing - I noticed there was that "clank" when one of the stormtroopers hits his head on the door - was that always there?
I'll consider putting some in.
Meanwhile - I'm almost done authoring my BD, but I'm not sure about the subtitles - I inserted them as external subtitles, but they don't appear in the menus. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks! I'd do the prequels as well, but they're supposed to be getting a complete overhaul, so I don't know if the information I give would be relevant.
More covers! This time based on the 2000 VHS covers. Tailored for Adywan's Revisited set.

Why are there so many 'female' robots with huge boobs, huge hips and an ass that shakes when they walk? They were used as waitresses in a restaurant, seen wandering the streets in the background of several scenes and also as assistants to... someone. It all seemed incredibly sexist and very un-Star Wars (well, most everything seemed un-Star Wars).
That's the problem - the whole saga seems to treat females badly.
This space probably isn't a vacuum like ours is.

did Tatooine become a dead place only after the empire took over?
Actually I'd say that's about right. Darth Vader would know the planet; he could easily bring down restrictions on the businesses.
That would probably make a good Star Wars Infinities story, actually.
UPDATE! The Arrow covers now come in the more standardized 10.75/11mm variants.
Yep, that looks ace! Although I've never seen the original; I've never had the time to..
Never mind; MultiAVCHD seems to be working better now.
