Something else than sitting around in Ewok village, twiddling her thumbs? Yes, please.

I’m surprised to hear some people like the prequels more than the TFA/R1. Sure they haven’t really gone anywhere new yet, but I’d rather have filler with decent characters and writing than a “new story” that makes no sense and makes cringe multiple times.
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.
She has disappeared, my lord. One Naboo cruiser got past the blockade.
Am I doing this unrelated-Star-Wars-quote thing right?
It means that the black bars are part of the image on the disc. On the Bluray or 2004 DVD, the bars are added to fit your screen. If you watch them on a 16:9 TV, the bars are rather thin and on a 4:3 TV, the bars are larger. On the GOUT however, you always have the big bars to fit a 4:3 screen and if you watch them on a 16:9 screen, additional bars are added left and right.
This would mean that at least in one of the two scenes it is a deliberate choice to recolour the sleeves. All this makes the change only more baffling to me. They took the time and attention to make these two scenes match, but broke continuity in so many other scenes; lightsabers having different colour from one scene to the next, the Bespin windows being there when they eneter the conference room with Vader, but not in the reverse shot, and so on.
Wrong. The only person who acts that way around here is Impscum. Please provide evidence of me, Frink, Dominic etc. saying our opinions are factual or anything like that.
Exhibit A: Equating personal opinion with objectivity (i.e. fact)
Anyone is allowed to like the prequels, doing so is just expressing one’s personal opinion. However, I firmly believe that anyone who doesn’t think they’re objectively poorly executed is either not paying attention or lying to themselves. That makes them bad.
Exhibit B: Equating a group of opinions with objectivity (i.e. fact)
putting aside the fact that the large majority of people (in general, not just this site) say the prequels aren’t great, which isn’t evidence but is as good an objective indicator as you can get
It’s a fact that most people don’t like the prequels. It’s also pretty obvious that Lucas’ goal was to make movies that are enjoyed by many people (hence the inconsistencies in tone, ranging from slapstick humor to murdering children). Objectively, Lucas failed his goal.
- User does not post the “correct” list the hivemind deems acceptable to type
I personally never said you shouldn’t the PT in your list. I just don’t understand why anyone would have it anywhere but at the bottom of the list.
This is as stupid as not understanding why someone might like strawberry ice cream over chocolate ice cream. It is simply a matter of taste.
Not again the fucking ice cream analogy. We had that shit two years ago.

No, it’s the singer of Bohemian Rhapsody, Kanye West.
But which one is your favourite?
Never!
Mine is this one:
And suddenly, the “The “Worst Thread” Thread” became the worst thread.
I don’t really see anyone pleading for their “ideas” to be canon.
You must have missed the first sentence in my post. I stated that the idea of “canon” at all is stupid in the first place. There is no need to make a distinction between personal canon, or franchise canon, or any canon. One is free to interpret a story however he or she sees fit.
Official canon is useful to keep continuity between different installments of a franchise. When watching Enpire, knowing that the events of Star Wars “really” happened certainly helps to understand the movie.
That’s right. Do you know why it isn’t displayed?
Apparently Qui Gon patented the method of becoming a Force Ghost™.
FTFY.
Strange, the (TM) sign doesn’t show up on my phone.

Now here’s the sequel to my post:
… Stay. Well, favorite might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I liked it.
My favorite cliffhanger is …
These are not answers. I’ll report it if you keep it up.
You are obviously mocking me and my ‘‘Frank’s random thoughts thread’’. Please, stop the baiting.
Something else to keep in mind, Jedi is both singular and plural.
I’m curious to see how the title will be translated in other languages, that should indicate which form is intended.
It doesn’t follow any established formula and that bothers me.
The (verb) of the (thing)
The (thing) (does something)
The/A (adjective) (noun)The last one it sort of follows, but it’s star wars specific this time and also ‘Jedi’ has already been in a movie title. It also sounds cliche. At least it’s not dawn or rise of something. And look at that red star wars logo, that means it’s going to be Dark™, didn’t you know Dark™ equals good? Remember Empire? Empire’s the best star wars film and it sure is Dark™!!
I’m sorry, I’m just all sorts of bothered by this. I’m probably wrong and it’s just a title and it’s all going to be good, but this already seems more on the nose than TFA and I loved that film. Sorry bout all this
It follows exactly the last one. Also the first one should be ‘‘The (noun) of the (thing)’’, not ‘‘The (verb) of the (thing)’’. This is just more of the usual ‘‘not enough like the previous films’’ bullshit, followed by more ‘‘not different enough from the previous films’’ complaints. Make up your mind wether you want one or the other.
The name of the movie is Split.
Now this is a sports metaphor I understand:
For example, say Tony Hawk has already gotten three home runs by dribbling a puck into the end zone thrice. The probability that he’ll get another point isn’t substantially different from the probability that he’d get that first point. Checkmate.
why did you pick March 2 as the date his Presidency ends?
You have to read the secret Illuminati thread, there it is all explained.
