"Zardoz"

After seeing all the banter about this film, I thought I would give it a try.

I liked it a lot. It's very imaginative, and smacks of the early 70's style of what the future will be like. I loved the far out nature of the first season of space 1999, and this film remind me of that allegory through imagery style. If you are a person who could accept and understand Lynch's DUNE, you may just be able to understand this film's way of reveling it's story. Yet, I can understand why it was rejected by the typical popcorn munchers, even with all them bare titties. ;)

Showman car salesman Cal Worthington dies at 92

Cal Worthington, the Oklahoma native whose old-time carnival flair built one of the most successful car dealerships west of the Mississippi, has died. He was 92.

Worthington died Sunday while watching football at his home on the Big W Ranch near Orland, Calif., said Brady McLeod of the Miles Law Firm in Sacramento, which represented Worthington.

Described as a cross between Dale Carnegie and Slim Pickens, Worthington was best known for his wacky television pitches that had him wrestling with a tiger, flying upside down on an airplane wing or riding a killer whale. His sales antics with his “Dog Spot” drove a career that took him from a three-car lot on a patch of Texas dirt to a multi-make dealership empire that grossed billions of dollars and stretched from Southern California to Alaska.

Simon Pegg

James Doohan LOVED the fans, and his pleasant real life nature was visible in the character of Scotty.  I truly don't like Pegg's Scotty (as I have stated previously on the forum), and it just may be that his real life nature and personality are coming through in his performance.

I've been watching a lot of Bond on Netflix recently. Originally skipping around, but found myself stuck in the Roger Moore era. I like it a lot, except for the Louisana Sheriff. I cringed the entire time he was on screen, for TWO MOVIES. Was he the director's brother or something?

And he was so annoying in "Superman II" as well.

I lost my password, because it was on my computer that was stolen.  The original email that I used back in 2003 is long gone.

I'm so sorry to hear about this.  This is a cruel world with so many thieves and perpetrators of psychological harassment.  I'll keep you in my prayers, and I want you to know that it's good to hear from you.  I'm glad that you have returned.  Try to keep a positive attitude, and keep fighting.

Deleted rooftop  /London chase scene from "On Her Majesties Secret Service"

I found this very interesting and entertaining.  A YouTube user has made a  reconstruction of the deleted rooftop  /London chase scene from "On Her Majesties Secret Service" using footage from the released version, and combining it with stills taken during the original filming. The video shows us how the missing rooftop / London chase scene would have been presented had it been included in the theatrical release.
