Anyone else playing Star Wars Galaxies on the SWGEmu server?
Star Wars Galaxies was (2003 - 2011) a massively multi-player online role playing game produced and serviced by Sony Online Entertainment. It is the game that the current running SWGEmu project is working to recreate using a new and privately created emulator by the SWGEmu team. The rule set used is from the Pre-Combat Upgrade era. The Combat Upgrade (patched into the game by Sony Online Entertainment in early 2005) was a set of game changes that radically changed the game rules and user interface, to the dislike of thousands of players.
I was a big fan of Star Wars Galaxies before the 2005 combat system modifications ruined the community and classic game play. The SWGEmu server is free to use, and is populated by over 2000 players so far.

APE ONE : Simple, beautiful, classic,
APE TWO : It’s like a black mirror
APE THREE: It looks like death
APE TWO : How much more black could this be? and the answer is ‘None. None...more black’
APE THREE : This is something you put around your arm. You don’t put this on your fucking turntable.
Is the dialogue from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe?
APE ONE : Hey, Hey. Now that is really bad for the eyes.
APE TWO : It's so black--you can hardly even make out its shape. Light just falls into it.
APE ONE : And feel this surface.
APE TWO : Yeah. (Surprise) Hey, you can't...
APE ONE : See, it's just totally frictionless...this must be one mother of a mover. I bet even the cigar lighter's on photon drive. Well, what do you reckon?
APE TWO : What, you mean stroll off with it? Do you think we should?
APE ONE : No.
APE TWO : Nor do I.
APE ONE : Let's do it.
APE TWO : OK.

I've decided to delve into the Hannibal Lecktor films.
Hannibal Rising (2007) 4/10
This film is a prequel, explaining the origins of Hannibal Lecktor, and his appetite for murder and human flesh. Slow moving and standard thriller shock type scares with no truly interesting characters. Sure it is a decent suspense movie, but lacks the psychological complexity of the other films in the series.
Manhunter (1986) 7/10
Not a bad film, but most definitely dated due to the electronic 80's style soundtrack, and filming techniques. The quality and acting in the movie seemed more like a television production then a major motion picture. The film is directed by Michael Mann, and there are elements carried over from his T.V. shows of the time (Crime Story, and Miami Vice). In fact at least three of the major cast of "Crime Story" appear in the movie. The film is definitely creepy, and worth watching. Actor Brian Cox plays the role of Dr. Hannibal Lecktor, and is quite convincing in the part.
Red Dragon (2002) 8/10
This is basically a re-make (or re-telling) of the same story as "Manhunter". Both films are based on the novel "Red Dragon". The style and tone of this film more closely matches the other Anthony Hopkins Lecktor films. Ralph Fiennes gives a chilling performance.
The Silence of the Lambs (1991) 9/10
This is the stand out, and best made film in the series. Anthony Hopkins is riveting as Lecktor. His charisma makes Hannabal a villain that is truly likeable.
Hannibal (2001) 7/10
A film Directed by Ridley Scott. Definitely not his best work. The story is less interesting then "Silence of the Lambs" and "Red Dragon", but again Anthony Hopkins makes you root for the mass murdering psychopath. The final scenes are horrifically amusing. I was missing Jodi Foster as Clarice.

I've only played Link's Crossbow Training. Although It's not a true Zelda game, it's still fun and one of my favorite Wii games.

^That's why I prefer to believe the Vader Luke & Leia fought in the Temple of Pomojema was actually a phantom created by the Kaiburr Crystal and not the real deal. ;-)
Clever!
Jim Lange, the first host of the popular game show "The Dating Game," has died at his home in Mill Valley, Calif. He was 81...
