R.I.P. Mr. Kiel
R.I.P. Mr. Kiel
Here in Las Vegas, our weather has gone from supper hot to just hot. We seem to be over our 100+ degree days, and now the upper 90's is the norm. Our rainy season officially started a few weeks ago, but yesterday we had our first real downpour of the season. The air was thick with the smell of ozone and creosote.
You may also want to check out the complete live action PotA television series. It's on the production scale of Battle, but the writing is not bad at all.
Back when I was growing up, a video game in my house was ether Match Game, Hollywood Squares, or Password.
Congratulations to the Ender family!

Nice Job!
Oh My!
I'm geeking out over this one guys!
From an email I got from La La Land Records today:
AMAZING NEW TREK “MOTION PICTURE” BOOK!
If you enjoy our STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE soundtrack set, chances are you’ll love the new book “RETURN TO TOMORROW: THE FILMING OF STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE,” written by Preston Neal Jones. It’s a stunningly detailed and candid oral history, going behind the scenes of one of the most famous films not only in Star Trek history, but all of science fiction and cinema. Check it out here: http://creaturefeatures.com/shop/books/returntotomorrow/
I was underwhelmed. The music was far too bombastic and goofy, and much to loud in the mix. I kept having that been there, done that feeling. I've been watching this show for far too long. The mood of the episode seemed very disjointed, going from frolicking fun to dark and depressing. I like my episodes to be ether dramatic or tong-in-cheek goofy, but not a combination. Kind of like in the original Star Trek, "Trouble With Tribbles" was goofy, and "Balance of Terror" was dramatic. Both are great Star Trek, but the tone of the episodes stays constant. The other is the over selling of the sexual relationship and flirting of secondary characters. I did not care for it in "Torchwood"ether. The "call" was just unnecessary and I felt it kind of insulting.
Rating: 4/10 (Quite Disappointing)
