No USB port? Is there/will there be an adapter dongle to use a standard thumb drive? If so, there's your SD card support - get one of the thumb drives that takes the SD/microSD cards.
Yes, that is a great work around. Thanks.
I'm not as fast as I used to be.

I think I have found my player!!!
The only problem I can find with it (for my personal needs) is that it does not have SDcard support.
$600 for 32 GB
$500 for the 16 GB
Full list of specifications are as follows:
Planet of the Apes (The T.V. series) (1974)
Not a bad series at all. Too bad it did not get a chance at improving with a second season. Roddy McDowall (Galen) and Mark Lenard (General Urko) are truly excellent as the Apes leads of the show. The two human astronauts are a bit bland, but not horrible. James Naughton is the better actor and personality of the two.
Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
and
Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)
Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
Planet of the Apes (1968)
I am watching the story arc a little differently this time around.
Started with Conquest... a few days age.
Conan the Destroyer (1984)
What a piece of celluloid garbage.
This is very sad news! He was a wonderful character actor.
I think I'll watch Superman today...
FF
"Conquest of the Planet of the Apes"
To be honest...
If I had the chance, I would go back to December 8th 1980, and I would gladly stand between John Lennon and his crazed assassin.
I would go back in time and take a piss on the primordial ooze from witch all life on earth emerged.

I'm starting Star Trek Online. Anyone play this?
FF
Hmmm, I heard it's already dead.
Though I'm sure it will be soon, unfortunately. Never played it, don't have the time to devote to MMOs.
Well I'm glad I asked you guys before I dumped more of my money into Trek. I had gotten the game when it first came out, but never installed it due to lack of time. Now that I have some time to play, I was going to give it a shot. But if it's a wasteland of inactivity, I'll pass.
Age of Conan looks like it gets some good reviews. I always liked him more then Leno, and if there is a good player base...
Anyone know if Lord of the Rings Online is any good?

DVD or just HDD?
I would like to play Xvid files mostly, as they are small. I'm mostly interested in such a device to keep me distracted from the more pretentious and hyperactive passengers during flights.
And
My phone is a BlackBerry from last year. The screen is way to small on phones for my viewing pleasure.
HI,
Does anyone have any recommendations on a good portable media player with a reliable long lasting battery? I was on an Alaska Airlines flight the other day, and rented their DigEplayer. I was most impressed with the quality of the picture, the features, and most of all the long lasting power supply. Saw two full length films and the battery was still kicking. These players are not for sale to the public, so I am looking for something close to it. A few years ago I got a COBY portable DVD player (Model TF-DVD8500) and the battery on the unit died (Stopped holding a charge) only after 15 months. COBY does not sell a replacement battery for the unit, so I am kind of pissed off about that. Any thoughts on a player with good viewing size and lasting power? I would think a high capacity SDcard of 8GB or more would also be useful.
