The more I watch the Obi-Wan vs. Maul duel on Tattooine in Rebels, the more I enjoy it. It only makes me want to imagine a duel between Kenobi and Vader in a more samurai kinda feel.
I myself am starting to wonder during Vader and Obi-Wan’s final duel whether that one shot of Vader’s helmet that looks uneven could be straightened somehow. Maybe with a little photoshop magic or something can it be done? 😉
Those hangar pics look incredible, Ady! Must be getting closer to that release date now. And I do hope you’ve managed to sort out the Wampa’s mouth too. Don’t want to think you’d have built that Wampa for nothing only to have one issue hindering what you’ve set out to do in the first place. If we have to wait a little longer so you can iron out the problem, then I’m sure we’ll all understand. 😃
No one knows how far Ady is going to go with ANHRHD. I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
I sorta wonder whether anybody has access to Luke’s Jedi Robes in RotJ as I think how cool it would be if we got to see Luke constructing his lightsaber using the force. You’d pretty much have to obscure Luke’s face under his hood though it would actually look better if he never wore a hood while performing construction. Ben’s hut would have to be built too maybe.
I’m sure I’ve brought this up before, and I think I’m probably the only one concerned about this at all, but here I go again.
Is there any feasible way to put Luke in his flight suit during the DS briefing in ANH?
If it could happen, it would make it seem as if a short time has passed since our heroes arrived on Yavin and the Rebels have had some time to analyze the plans and Luke has had some time to prepare. And it would look very cool.
But would this even be a thing someone could do? Is it even something to hope for someday? Is it a dumb idea that nobody likes?If Disney can make a CGI Tarkin, they can absolutely make a CGI flight suit for Luke. Thought if it were a fan effort, it would probably be easier to film someone in a flight suit precisely mimicking Luke’s movements. There would be some tricky rotoscoping/color work since we see his clothes behind the hair of other characters, but it’s technically possible.
It also makes more sense to have him in the flight suit, as you suggest. But I doubt that it would be worth the effort for most people. I certainly never noticed how odd it was until you pointed it out.
Could something be done like say, Luke’s head being inserted on a body double perhaps?
Guess you can rule out the Carrier ever to appear in the Jedi battle now that the Rebels Season Finale is done and dusted (spoilers?). Still keeping my fingers crossed for a few Hammerheads appearing though. 😉

What are the chances of a couple Hammerheads and that Carrier the Phoenix Squadron acquired in Rebels that could take part. Of course, they may end up being destroyed leading up to Rogue One I suppose so guess we’ll have to wait and see first. Isn’t Rebels scheduled to be 5 Seasons or something?

Maybe recreate a more decent looking Force Ghost version of Hayden compared to what we got recently possibly…

I just read something on the Wordpress page about Vader retaining his red lenses. I was actually wondering about that especially after seeing them on Vader’s helmet still intact on Rebels. Nice to hear that you’re going back to them, Ady. Your explanation makes perfect sense. 😃
Now another thing I’m wondering is the Rebel Hangar on Yavin IV. After watching fighters flying out of the Hangar on Rogue One, what’s the possibilities of seeing something similar happening on ANHR:SE? Mind you, though, the scene looks fine as it currently is anyhow.
I’m sure Ady would love to build a model of the Massassi Temple. Part of that is sarcasm, most of it is fear that he will. 😉
If he does, I shan’t be complaining lol. Heck, I recall the time when he’d mentioned something about having a scale model of Cloud City that somebody had built. Possibilities of filming multiple angles would certainly be endless! 😉

I’d love for an Extended Edition of Rogue One to happen as I feel the characters could have been fleshed out more among other things.
Replacing the Pods with T-16’s etc would be sweet, and even if it were at Beggar’s Canyon too, what an awesome homage that would be.
Now thinking about Jedi, after reading suggestions on how people would rewrite that movie, I do kinda like the idea of Han’s rescue on Tattooine as more of a prologue, as if it should be set shortly after ESB and while Luke returns to Dagobah, that there should have been like a lapse in time with Luke actually completing his training, and even during that time the Death Star should have reached completion as well. That movie is so flawed it could use a good retconning. :p
So I think it could be good if (for the HD version) you did something to the effect of showing the surface being destroyed in the Alderaan destruction scene, sort of like you did in that scene with Jar Jar. Of course, dispense with the Jar Jar shot, and if no good Bail reaction shot can be orchestrated, him too. But given how there were several surface destruction shots in RO, I think having that in ANH:R would be cool.
One thing I also loved was how awesome the Death Star was in orbit over Scarif too. And I’d love to see surface destruction on Alderaan too but given that the Death Star was fully operational by the time of ANH… 😉
And I also suppose that some of the Blue Rebel insignias can be retained now after learning of Blue Squadron in Rogue One. Maybe some of the Rebel fighters can wear the Blue Squadron helmets in remembrance of their efforts, giving their lives in battle on Scarif.
While I won’t be getting to see Rogue One till this coming Thursday, I did like the shot in one of the later TV Spots of the Ties exiting the Death Star. How cool would that look adding something similar into the Battle of Yavin. Still though, the Tie reveal remains one of the finest additions you’ve ever done so far, Ady. 😃
I saw it twice last week and yes, I really enjoyed it. Love how Anakin and Padme’s relationship isn’t secret from the Jedi Order anymore and I also loved how you never got to see Yoda wielding a lightsaber (except for when he used it in self defence at Kashyyyk) and his battle against Sidious wasn’t included either.
I thought the flashbacks were fine actually. Don’t know how much crap you could throw out to still keep them at 3 films IMHO. I’m just glad we got no Jar Jar antics, no Pod Racing, Anakin destroying the Trade Federation ship etc. And having Darth Maul becoming Grievous was pretty clever too. Did I say I love the new dialogue?! I love the new dialogue. It’s like The Hidden Fortress all over again. 😊

I might have brought this up before but I’m already salivating over the idea of how the Executor is going to crash in ROTJ:R. Previously I had mentioned the Malevolence in the Clone Wars the way Grevious’ ship got brought down and now in the recently unveiled footage of the Battle of Jakku in Star Wars Battlefront. I believe this battle is going to be my most anticipated change in the film. Now down on the surface in Endor - has the thought of extras for Rebel soldiers been considered for additional scenes? I would imagine a lot of extras though.
Also, I do believe Ady will try and find a way to reinsert the iconic Tarkin shot before the Death Star blows to Kingdom Come. Plus, isn't the interrogation droid going to lose the laser needle or something?!
Clip looked beautiful! Those moving clouds and the depth of the backdrop of their duel. After Luke fell I had that Vader yelling nooooooooo in my mind lol.
Wow, what a solid Season premiere! Was amazed at how Filoni & Co. were able to make Vader so intimidating that his presence alone while confronting our protagonists actually gave me goosebumps. The way he deflected Sabine's blasts back at her, the way he single-handedly dispatched the entire A Wing squadron etc. Loved every single minute.
Hoping along the way they get to meet Han and Chewie. They've already met Lando so maybe he'll lose the Falcon to him later in the series. Maybe Lando brags about acquiring this new ship only to lose it in moments lol.
