maybe too radical, and i dont know why or how this could be done, but maybe somehow leia could have it, and she could give it to luke to where, repeating anakin's line from TPM 'it will bring you luck' (i think he says that.:P)

i am assuming that ROTS:R wont have padme dying, to fit in with her surviving until leia is young enough to remember her, and thus perhaps give it to her.

Adywan isn't gonna go to that kind of trouble for a necklace. Plus, Leia is the daughter of a great jedi. She may think she remembers her mother were in turn she actually has felt her mother. The jedi are hard to understand in that sense. But life finds a way in the star wars universe to continue. Another thing keeping padme alive would be damn near impossible. It would tear the saga apart. and thus be a great continuity error which i hear ady doesn't like continuity errors.

One thing and I have mentioned it before that I would bring in from the PT into Jedi is that little neckless thing that Anakin made.

It seemed to me to be a Chekhov's Gun that never went off.

When I saw TPM I thought I bet that neckless will actually be used in some way to turn Anakin.

It will turn up at the scene of some disaster or in Obi-Wan's underwear drawer or something but it never happened.

So I thought it would be nice if the one thing Leia had of her mother was the neckless and she gave it to Luke on Endor when he told her he was her brother (he is asking about his mother after all).

When Palpatine is zapping Luke the thing could fall on the floor and that could be the straw that snaps the camel's back.

Otherwise it seems like a big deal for no reason, he makes the object as a little boy, Padme keeps it all her life and it presumably goes up in flames with her body after she dies.

Putting it into the last film turns a small object into a trigger for big events.

This would be cool if pulled off right, but it would require shooting scenes of the necklace being exchanged between Leia and Luke, and a shot of it falling off of Luke while laying on the floor. And the only way this could be done is in closeup shots of just their hands, since no shots of the actors exchanging anything exists. If it didn't work, it would be too obvious that these are insert shots.

Interesting, but tricky.

sorry to party poop. But, Padme was burned/buried what ever with the necklace in ROTS.

Star Wars doesn't end with ROTJ we just don't see what happens next (it's our departure point).

There is plenty of evidence that "And they all lived happily ever after" is not end of this tale just yet.

And THAT is why I am against the SE galaxy celebrations - to celebrate on Endor is one thing; to pretend that the Empire really is over and the entire imperial fleet and army is just going to let it happen is BS.

Proof is in what happened in Iraq. We killed Saddam Hussein and they still are fighting us.

I'm not in favor for many fan edits really but something just came up to my mind when listening the ROTJ soundtrack. Jabba's theme or his background music isn't really menacing enough, there are just some weird trombones or something and not enough creepiness that would make the palace scary and that the rebels might not survive. So if there's any music that would fit better that would be a nice change.

I don't know if their is anything that could replace his theme. It is too recognizable. Its good enough. The Tuba is an instrument that represents every fat guy.

I love those new pics, especially the Emporer, even tho thats old. hehe. Anyways to the thing about reflective windows on Bespin, isn't this supposed to be a "used" universe? Where not everything is sleek and shiny? I always kinda thought Cloud City was a little too clean for a used universe

Well look at it this way. Lando is a cool and clean guy he would have them waxing those floors and cleaning those windows. The empire wouldnt have enough time to keep the death star spic and span with all the traffic throughout the station. Plus everywhere else is dirty to show really how opressed the people are. It really all makes sense. Have you ever been to a fancy hotel with shiney floors. Cloud City is just like that everywhere except were the mining goes on.

i actually haven't done much to the Emperor since the trailer. I've been trying out different techniques to try and match the ROTJ elements with the movement of the 2004 version. its a bloody hard task but one thing i have accomplished t being able to have the side shot of the Emperor when he says " He could destroy us" which as darth editous pointed out is missing from the 2004 version. I have eve managed to have the lips sync perfectly. The trailer will have a tweaked version of the Emperor hologram but t won't be the final version because there is just too much work left to do on it. As for having glowing eyes then that is a definite no . the same goes for changing the angle of the background and adding smoke or other things. this scene rally doesn't need anything else added to it. The holograms in the PT are going to be downgraded and visually match the OT, maybe even lower tech because after all the Pt shouldn't be so much more hi-tech than the OT when its set in the past. And the " its a much more prosperous time" excuse is just lame. Our world has been in much more prosperous times but our technology is more advanced now than it ever was. cockpits, displays and even some ships will have a complete OT overhaul in the PT

I'm actually struggling to find the pics for tonights previews. I've shown so much already i'm trying to keep a few surprises for the movies release, so don't expect some huge revelation shots this time.

I was gonna ask you if you were gonna downgrade the PT. Thank you soo much. It's a little early to say it but. I would love more of the OT's music in the PT. The OT was just so much darker. I will more than enjoy the future of the PT.

The emperor looks more like he did in ROTJ. Is their a way to do that for ROTS. The red around his eyes in revenge is what ruins him. The emperor was almost in grayscale in ROTJ which works. I dont want my evil bad guys to look warm and alive. I want a dead corpse look. The good in them is gone they are cold. Shit even vader was grayscale. The ROTS emperor was just odd.

I am really sure the empire needs a windsheild when fighting ewoks. They probably underestimate every enemy they fight so why go all out. Even if they had a windsheild it is not like they have good periphreals (spell check). The big ATATs had big weaknesses to. I am guessing they dont give a hoot because they rely on strong armour and sheilds. Ewoks are no threat to them in their minds. Have you seen a smart imperial. Do stormtroopers always hit their marks? NO. the empire is pure brute strength.

I couldn't help but notice that the background to the bonus scene was a little monochrome will this be adjusted in the final version?

The stump that Obi-wan is behind is a bit odd too (he is a ghost it might work if he is infront of it and we can see through it, perhaps?).

Ben Stump

Yoda is amazing but in long shots the Obi-Wan element seems to missing some frames (is this temporary?).

Otherwise great, great work nice to see Ben not floating in a void for the first time.

Yeah obi wan looks kinda weird maybe mockup time.

I would have donated but I am in the same boat as you ady. Whenever I make my first Science Fiction film I am gonna give you a call LOL you do amazing work and the sheer fact that you make and use models instead of relying soley on CGI(too much can be bad) makes them even better.
