It really needs some updating. I dont mind the darkness but It needs to look damn better than anything in the PT's. This is the end of the saga. Palpatine is powerful. Hell I saw a bunker they built for the president in like a week during the cold war (never used) It was very fancy and had nothing but state of the art technology for at the time. Palpatine needs big screen tvs on and his window NEEDS SOME HARDCORE EDITING. I dont have any high res pics of his window and vlc makes everything in a lower than editing resolution for me. But it could stay dark. How can luke hide in a bright shiney place. Any body have any idea how to fix the big sabers. I had to remove the colors which made vaders lights look weird.

Then the live action series would be watchable. I have all kinds of ideas for what i would do. I was going to pitch the idea to lucasfilm years ago. It will probably be crappy like battlestar or stargate after the first 2 seasons. I want to see the show in the same vein as the movies. I dont want it full of the same old bullshit like a soap opera. Look at Joss Whedons work. The man is genius but his shows start feeling to familar after a few seasons. Firefly was great because it wasnt on long enough to start sucking.

I hate to say it to you Angel but you could add a blue tint to make it look like it is early in the morning. It would work pretty good to in the approaching shot. If it were as if the sun wasnt quite up yet.
Actually the way things are going I wont be making an edit anytime soon so I guess I will have to wait and give support to the other fan editors.

I have said that time and time again. It is quite true. They honestly made the SE's for 4 year old kids that need Dora The Explorer explanations. Of course alot of people that watch movies now a days are kind of retarded. We like shiney things and explosions now and we need things to be dumbed-down for us. Every movie I have seen recently has no plot and uses it's effects as a selling point. Horror movies are basically the same concept as a 10 year old boy holding a bug in his little sisters face. Back when effects were near impossible to do they had to push on plot and acting ability. Not any more.
Beautiful Work. The Empire Strikes Back A varient style is the best I have seen. I had to tweak the C style myself when I made my Empire Strikes Back DVD cover.
And the great thing is you have your pick of which version you want. A lot of the people here are Raiders nuts that would probably use alot of the raiders music.
Angel you should mirror your shot to match with the picture. Then maybe if you could make it a different time of day because luke goes to the palace at a real bright time. that shot looks like its about to be night.
Angel that is absolutely beautiful. I would love to see that. I bet a really cool model could be done to make it.

I will be using a lot of the songs from the Last Crusade and the Temple Of Doom. The elvis song playing at the beginning of the film will just be another element in the scene. So it will be their just toned down and really as if it were heard outside of the car. Their will be music at the beginning which I am not disclosing for now. It will have a dark intro so it will work nicely.
I loved the indiana jones prequel and sequel excluding KOTCS. Temple of Doom may have not been everybody elses cup of tea but I thought it was quite fun. Raiders really wasn't perfect it was flawed in many ways. A good movie isn't supposed to be something that everyone is gonna conform to and call perfect.

I was hoping to get some screencaps posted but work is going to be postponed until I can get After Effects to stop being so buggy.

Actually. The Speeder is set up in a way to were it is ALMOST correct. The ATAT is in the wrong spot. see luke is facing this way > dack is facing this way < so they are like this <ATST> so its almost right. The atat just needs some scooting .
MTV or MTV 2 or MTV 3? From all I see on my tv MTV should die. Nothing but reality shows PURE GARBAGE. But if they show star wars they may redeem themselves.

It didn't even occur to me when I saw the movie to edit it until I saw this thread. I have been caught up in Adywan's Empire Strikes Back Revisited.
I would definitely look to Info's (and hell my own) edit for ideas
My version will be alot like the others fan edits. I am stealing ideas and mixing them with my own.
Laser is doing amazing work as well. Someone did an edit that totally gets rid of Mutt getting caught up in the vines (maybe Info? i think) anyway its awesome.
Laser's color correction pics on the front page made me decide to do it. The pics looked great so I will be going for that look.
Also, what are your thoughts on the truck in tree and waterfalls and the awkward Marion laughing with the steering wheel scene after the waterfalls? (I hated it)
The waterfall scene is going to be tough but I might be able to do something. Marion laughing could easily just be chopped up. Even silencing her laugh to were its like a silent snicker would work.
Also hated the awkward dialog between Indy, Mac and Spalko in the beginning.
It needs to be shortened somewhat I need to watch it again seeing as I hate it so much I dont watch it very often I think Ive only seen it 2 times. So I am going to watch it tomorrow and think of what I can do. It is going to be hard to make a smooth movie because so much is being cut and I fear it being choppy.
