Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Edit Suggestions

Hi jones1899,

If you want better quality, I suggest you obtain a Sony Vegas 8 Pro trial version (it gives you all the features in the trial) as this will help you output your renders in better quality as well as giving a wide choice of options. Adobe Premiere is well known for its limitations in output formats.

Secondly, for best control over an edit, I always use VirtualDub. I use it to import the vobs using the MPEG2 Filter add-on, then I convert to avi using the lossless lagarith codec (within VirtualDub) - although the files might be large, they are more stable to use. This way, you import the files as avi's to your project and you have less hiccups along the way as say something in standard MPEG2 or VOB or other file formats, which can be stuttery.

Thirdly, in VirtualDub I select the audio track stream, and output it for WAV seperately then I convert it to another format such as MP3 to import into the project.

This way you should hopefully have better results.

Try it and see what you think.
