STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I know I shouldn’t bring this up again but, I did just realize something. Since you’re using Topaz to improve the existing 2011 Blu-Ray for ANH:R HD, why not attempt the same for ESB:R?

That is if you want to do it, as it is your choice and not mine, or anyone else’s.

(In some of the shots where Leia turns around to rescue Luke from Cloud City, the lighted buttons in the Falcon’s cockpit bleeds together.)

If I remember correctly Adywan did consider doing it and did some testing but it was too much work for something that ultimatly looked worse than no glow.

Really I’m surprised because a fan did the glow for the prequels lightsabers on YouTube and it looked great.

This video?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dkGJxercO4

The ambient glow only works when the subject is fully lit, like in that video. Try doing it during the carbon chamber duel and it is impossible unless you recreate each character using CG & 100% match their moves because there is no visual information on Vader (especially his helmet) for the most part & other areas of each character. I did many test and decided it’s just not worth all the work, especially when so many shots would be impossible to convincingly add any ambient glow.

And there will be no HDR/ Dolby Vision colour grade. I see people ask this a lot, along with asking for a Dolby Atmos sound mix. I’m just a guy working on a home PC and not in a fully equipped professional studio. I just don;t have the facilities to be able to do things like this.

I understand the limitations you’re trying to work around with, but is the video and audio going to at least encoded to have lossless compression?

The way I’ve always preferred the “Look sir, droids!” scene is the way it was shown in the Theatrical version, but with only one CGI dewback in the background.

But if they don’t hold up enough to be used for the HD version then so be it.

He is going keep the CG dewbacks parked outside the Cantina, from what I remember.

He isn’t. If you look back at the comparisons he isn’t.

Is the Ronto here going to be included in these shots during the entering Mos Eisley scene?

I hope so, I like it. It’s not too intrusive and it makes it look more interesting.

But the trends of the edit and the editor tell me no. And if that is I won’t mind too much.

This is just me talking, but I prefer those shots without the Ronto.

At least you’re not the only one who thinks this. I’ve been watching 4K77 recently and I think the scene works without the Ronto.

Exhibit A

fuck

I think I should be more clear, like I’ve seen debunking videos from Nerdonymous and Anomaly Inc respectively.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2AmolUSZi8XikNWZBsc_So0AWIubJf86

What I’m getting at is that, I think that George was trashed by the Star Wars Fanbase which in effect most-likely lead to the Disney Acquisition. Even though the evidence in Anomaly Inc’s series is a bit vague, there is a small-yet-reasonable amount of people that enjoyed the prequels until the rest of the fans “silenced them.”

And other pieces of information in “Revenge of the Prequels” indicate that the Star Wars Fan Community really split after the Sequel Trilogy came out, not when the Prequels came out. George Lucas had an idea for how it should’ve worked, while the producers of the Sequel Trilogy were making the films on a kind-of whim.

“Nobody hated the Prequels, until the internet told them too.”

Recently, I’ve have seen a bunch of videos that debunked why the overall feel of the Star Wars Prequels was so bad to begin with when they first came out. And not only that, on how George Lucas was being heavily discredited by the internet trying to prove he didn’t do anything in making the original Star Wars film when it was in production. Keep in mind, this atmosphere was at the time before the Disney acquisition.

Some said that the Prequels divided the entire Star Wars Community, when there’s evidence where it is most likely that wasn’t the case.

Ever since the release of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, the fans have started to come around and started showing the prequels the appreciation that I believe they should have gotten in the first place, in which they did, at-least until the internet influenced by the wrong type of Star Wars fans, disagreed with them.

Also, there is a mountain of evidence that proves that George Lucas was heavily involved in the creation of the original Star Wars, and all the production staff that worked alongside him to turn his vision into a reality, shows that he didn’t screw over Star Wars, the company that bought LucasFilm and the franchise did, Disney.

Considering the situation, I began wondering about one question that has plagued me for months.
Should George Lucas somehow fight to bring LucasFilm back under his control, even though the environment around the films, the fans wasn’t friendly at the time?

There was one very minor change made to the 1080p version I noticed that I actually like, and that is the removal of the “A News Corporation Company” byline in the 20th Century Fox logo. Personally, it always felt off to me, because by then, in 2017, it was no longer in the official logo, and having it with the modern Lucasfilm logo made it even more out of place. I hope this new 1080p logo sans the byline will be kept for ANH:R HD and ROTJ:R. It really is an absolute BEAUTY.

Star Wars (1977), Empire Strikes Back (1980), and Return of the Jedi (1983) were all released/distributed by 20th Century Fox and LucasFilm Ltd. The only Star Wars films that don’t have the 20th Century Fox logo are the sequel trilogy. At-least for these films, in my point of view, the TCF logo is not out of place.

I’m sorry, I should have been more specific. The old 720p version of Empire Revisited has “A News Corporation Company” under the 20th Century Fox logo, but in the current 1080p version, it’s not there.

Well, Ady changed that because 20th Century Fox, since 2013 until 2019/20, was not owned by News Corporation Company. The byline removal happened when Ady was still working on ESB:R and is reminiscent of when he intended a 2011 release.

Since Adywan is using the Rogue One matte for the Death Star laser tunnel, does that mean he’ll revert the Death Star plans back to having the dish in the center, like in Rogue One?

Are the Falcon targeting monitors in ANH:R HD going to be the same as the SD version, or will they revert back to the original version, since The Force Awakens shows them that way?

In Rogue One, when Jyn transmits the Death Star plans to Admiral Raddus, the plans are reminiscent of the original look of them shown in the original theatrical version of Star Wars (1977).

I know that, but in the SD version of ANH:R, which came out several years before Rogue One, Adywan redesigned the Death Star plans using the hologram from Attack of the Clones.

Well, it’s really up to Ady. Earlier, I think he said he was going to try to keep some continuity of Rogue One, and maybe a bit from the original theatrical version. But, his decision as of right now, I don’t know because, on the SWRevisited FB Page, it said for ANH; “ANH:R will deviate only slightly from the theatrical version.

Ady, if you have time, could you explain your plans for this subject?

For the other graphics, I don’t think there will be much changes to them. That is, if the Falcon’s targeting computers are changed back to the original, as it was shown in TFA. But, I don’t know.

Well, I think there are 3 pixels in Luke’s X-Wing in the Battle of Yavin that wasnt there when they show his ship after they destroyed the Death Star. I think that should be fixed!

I was trying to find anything to fix any continuity problem in the film. Why are you making it a joke.

What are you trying to point out, Evan.

Well, I’m showing that in this shot, one of the grips looks to be absent, and the clamp lever wasn’t fully closed.
While in other shots, that isn’t so.

(Thought it was a small continuity error.)
