What HASN'T been changed to reflect GL's "original intent"

Because Vader and Skywalker were separate characters when star wars was made Kenobi had two students, Vader the more powerful of the two killed Skywalker, who was Luke's Father.

I don't think it's implied that Ben and Luke's dad had a master-apprentice relationship in the original film; they were just friends and fellow Jedi.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Beginning (AKA DuracellEnergizer's Take On TPM)
Time

Just bumping the thread to say that I'm not going to be updating this script anymore - at least, not for the forseeable future. Writer's block, a lack of motivation, and a general loss of interest have worked their black wonders on me, so I'm calling it quits.

I'm thinking of writing up treatments for a new saga that completely disregards the films - OT included - and the EU. It'll be darker, more violent and sexual - kind of like Star Wars meets Excalibur - totally different from George's films in tone and feel. I don't know if I'll get anywhere with it, though; it's all just an idea ...

Are the Jedi so good?

The PT Jedi are a bloody weird bunch.

When I saw ANH and ESB I never for a moment imagined a child procuring, Ninja, Vatican State, UN peace keeping 'force', that turned a blind eye to slavery enforced familial disconnects while obsessing about celibacy.

The Jedi apparently aren't celibate according to Lucas.

George Lucas said:

Jedi Knights aren't celibate - the thing that is forbidden is attachments - and possessive relationships.

The quote's taken from this BBC article.

This makes the Jedi worse IMO.

What was the "fatal flaw" of the Prequels if you think they sucked? (aka. Let's take a break from hating on the blu-rays)

Horrible characters. Specifically, a terribly-written enemy. Over-reliance on CGI for characters that could well have been human and thus at least somewhat relatable? Why do all the enemies have to be weird racist aliens whose motivations are unclear???

Alternatively, the alien characters could have been played by men in suits/prosthetics. I remember watching AOTC for the first time, seeing San Hill on screen, and thinking "This guy could totally be played by an actor in a mask. Why does he have to be computerized?"
