Soo...Spider-Man's costume counts as "normal clothes?"

DOUBLE STANDARDS!

How dare you question dream logic!?

And again this old argument pops up in the comments.

Am I the only person who thinks it's a bit disrespectful to "remix" someone else's films? Even if they are crappy? They were Lucas' films and by doing this it's like Grace is saying "Hey, I can do it better than you!" Even if he can, it's not really his place to do so. Would we all be so supportive if he remixed a classic film like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Citizen Kane, or the aforementioned Godfather?

Lucas has done this countless times already to his films. I know they are his creation (mostly), but fiddling with them seems to be his ongoing hobby.
Exactly, they're his films.

*facepalm*

I wonder if these Kool-Aid-drinking asshats ever practice what they preach when it comes down to subjects other than Star Wars.

Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966)

This is a bad movie to be sure, but hardly one of the worst films ever made. Frankly, for an amateur production, it's pretty well-done. 4/10.

Thor (2011)

Yet another overrated comic book movie with lame story and characters. The only good things about this film were the sets, costumes, effects, and Loki. 5/10.

The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988)

A pretty creepy movie with good atmosphere and nice imagery. 6/10.

I had a dream the other night that Earth was invaded and conquered by the Martians from Mar Attacks!. The Martians essentially turned the planet into one big concentration camp, and slowly began to exterminate the human race.

There were also Jedi in my dream. They weren't aliens, themselves, though; they were all Earth-born humans and they wore normal clothes. The Martians were targeting them the most for annihilation, so they had gone into hiding. Spider-Man - who was also a Jedi - was the only who was still operating in public.

The dream ended with all the Jedi coming out of hiding to defeat the Martians once and for all. They took out their plastic lightsabers - coloured yellow and magenta for the most part - which became real lightsabers, and pooled their Force powers together to drive the Martian invasion force from the Earth. This final action is only implied to happen, though, and isn't actually seen; the dream comes to an end with a weird light show accompanied by New Age music, and then the credits literally started rolling.

I actually just got banned from TFN because I used the word "effeminate" to describe Filoni. (The dude has a thick lisp, a womanly gait, and, well, let's just leave it at that.) I'm sorry, but I can state obvious observations, can't I?) The posters there immediately started saying they were "offended" by calling somebody effeminate, one even started saying he was "transgendered" and so I was offensive to him.

This is the main reason I don't post on the TFN boards anymore: almost everyone there in a high-strung candy-ass.

Personal Obsessions

This is the thread where you reveal to your fellow OT.comers your own personal obsessions, fixations, etc., putting them up on display and for possible ridicule. The only rule: submit no lies, exaggerations, joke posts, etc. or I will sic Jason Voorhees on you.

My personal obsession: I'm fixated on collages; I can't stop making them. My desk drawer is full of magazine/newspaper/book clippings, and they keep on adding up. It got so bad in the past that I had to throw out a whole stack of collages - and clippings - because I was running out of room for new ones.

Not to derail the thread, but how do Lucas-apologists (TFNers... whatever we call them) value McQuarrie?

You should ask dgr4 that question. She's one TFNer who justs loves to deemphasize the collaborative nature of the SW films.

(It's been awhile but I think dgr is a dude?)

Ah, well, I was going by the feminine avatar. I guess I should learn not to do that =D

At the very least his awesome image of Vader is the reason Vader has a mask. How can that be acknowledged whilst still holding with Lucas's 'original intent' stories?

Will the ForceCast this week say, "McQuarrie was a guy who drew exactly what George told him straight from George's mind"?

"- ewww a shiny blue dildo" Immature comments like this really make me hate my generation. This guy is the prime example of why youtube comments are awful.

Yeah. He is a kid trying to be funny for an audience. Same with his everything-is-gay theme (3PO, Obi Wan). I know some of you may defend him for 3PO, but really must we try to impose sexuality on a character (let alone a droid) because he is not "manly" as some kind of slur. Totally not being defensive here, seriously... and neither is this a pro-gay thing, because well, Frink knows, jackalope. And whatever speculation there was about Alec, its just immature to insinuate it about his character. I was never that kind of 15 year old and don't excuse it. But I get why he is doing it.

I can't read all of Neglify's first post due to some kind of formatting error, so I can't check the review. But I'm glad I can't if it saves me from reading through dumbass shit like this.

The music of the Original Trilogy vs the music of the Prequel Trilogy

In fact, the Order 66-scene is the only scene from the PT that actually moves me, to the point where I might even shed a tear or two. Even if George's direction and editing during that scene are uncharacteristically brilliant, I've narrowed the reason for this down to the score. It's an incredibly emotional piece of music, and that's what John Williams does at his very best. Makes me sad over the deaths of the most two-dimensional of characters.

If only I could feeling the same. The CG clone troopers make that impossible, though.

Gay Marriage in Archie? Why is Boost so happy?

When the gay marriage debate first erupted, there were all kinds of claims by opponents that it would lead to a slippery slope where society would allow polygamous, incestuous, bestial, and vegetal marriages.

What exactly are vegetal marriages? Is it marrying non-consenting human vegetables, or literal vegetables?
