I'd like to see a film that takes place in roughly the same timeframe as the Tales of the Jedi comics. It doesn't have to follow the same plots or characters featured in the comics, but the look and feel of those stories should definately be preserved.

As for actors I'd cast, one (obvious) choice comes instantly to mind.

Personally, I find the idea of making the series finale of one show the pilot episode of another entirely disagreeable - especially considering it was a pilot that was never picked up.
