The Undiscovered Country may be my favourite TOS film. I’ll have to rewatch both it and Search for Spock to be sure.

Definitely an improvement on Season 1. It has its weak episodes (may I one day forget the mistake that is “Brown Betty”), but it certainly has less filler and more cohesion and momentum than its predecessor.

Lately I’ve been wondering if it’s at all possible to re-edit TESB into the concluding chapter of a SW Duology — ie. remove the loose ends which set up a sequel and make ROTJ completely irrelevant.
First things first, Han would have to die; I imagine that could be accomplished easily enough with some trimmed dialogue/footage. But I imagine the ending would have to be restructured a tad as well; I have no ideas on that front.
