First, the films never directly indicate that Obi-Wan was Yoda's padwan.  What we do know is that Yoda was 'the Jedi Master that once instructed me' and that Obi-Wan was an impatient student ('Was I any different?').

However, I think the answer is that Qui-Gon was killed before Obi-Wan could complete the trials to become a Jedi, and Yoda became his surrogate Jedi instructor preparing him for the Jedi trials.  

Furthermore, because Obi-Wan sat on the Jedi Counsel, we can conclude he achieved the title of 'Master'.  Perhaps Yoda was the one whom continued his training on the way to the title of Master.

This seems like a very reasonable way to explain it, and it does nothing to harm continuity.

Maybe the thing goes dry after a few shots and it takes several minutes or hours for the thing to recharge back to full power.

I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic towards this show, but this is looking more-and-more like a good example of the cure being worse than the disease.

I really hate how the EU just completely ignores how in episode II the Old Republic is stated to not only have mapped out the whole galaxy, but two others completely. They keep the unknown regions thing, which frankly I don't like. 

A galaxy with some mystery to it is better than a galaxy where every nook and cranny's been charted and explored.

Ah, modern comics and their shitty efforts to make costumes more "realistic". I can imagine a better looking costume that achieves realism without sacrificing the aesthetics of the original costume.

 Something with R.O.U.S.es, Luke getting his true hand reattached, Luke and Vader being cloned, and a Black Hole machine.

They were very stupid if I remember them right.

Sounds like SuperShadow. The bit about Luke getting his hand back is definately from his goofy-ass ST treatments.
