Well George used that scene as a direct mirror for the scene in ESB and that is how george wanted it portrayed so, yeh, Bingo is right.

I think it's every sci-fi/horror fan's duty to watch The X-Files at least once. The mytharc with the alien conspiracy is an internally inconsistent, incoherent mess that goes absolutely nowhere, but the excellent characters along with the standalone monster-of-the-week episodes more than make up for those failures.

I imagine if I were to watch Clerks again, I wouldn't give it more than a 6.

I find that the more familiar I am with any given superhero or team of superheroes as they are presented within their respective comics, the less likely I am to enjoy any film or TV adaptations based on those superheroes.

At this point, I'd say I'm mildly excited; there's just enough info about Ep. VII out there to whet my appetite, but still not nearly enough to get me really hungry.

I'll just have to wait for more details on the film to be released before I finally come to a definitive standpoint.

Also, they called the first book Star Wars, not a New Hope, and I know that the title of the original Star Wars book was changed to A New Hope. This means they've changed the title back to Star Wars, which I think is really awesome, even if it is just for the original 1976 book.

I've got an older edition of that book published in 1993, and inside it says the First Trade Edition was published in 1987, so this isn't actually a new book; it's just a newer edition of the same old book.

My favourite Star Wars movie is a heavily degraded VHS copy of TESB (SE '97) played backwards at high speed.

I didn't enjoy this scene, but for somewhat different reasons than yours (I don't think I have to go into detail as to why.).
