And stuff like this is why I consider myself a moderate neo-Luddite.

WRONG PLACE FOR SILLINESS! I would like to keep this thread devoted to helping others, please :)
You can count on me to behave myself from here on out.
Of course, I can't say the same for Frink. ;-)
Hopefully I'll find God, a girl, and a job this year.
It's unlikely to happen, but almost anything's possible.
Edward Herrman died today at 71 years of age of brain cancer.
I loved him in The Lost Boys. Sucks to see him go like that. =(

WRONG KARL!!!
WRONG INTERPRETATION OF MY ORIGINAL POST!
I wish someone would come up with a treatment or a cure for baldness which doesn't require rubbing cat-poisoning chemicals into your hair.

I think King just isn't very good at endings. That's probably why I like his short stories more than his novels -- there's fewer loose ends for him to tie up and you get more bang for your buck as a result.
As a kid who often failed to notice the obvious, I still had no problem recognizing Anakin's ghost as being one and the same person as the withered old prune in Vader's armour. The only thing I wasn't sure of was whether Ghost Anakin had hair or not.
Mystery Science Theater 3000: "Hobgoblins" (1998)
I watched the movie Hobgoblins a few years ago in its original format, and it was an incredibly painful experience, to say the least. Watching it this way, on the other hand, was a complete joy.
8/10
The Stand (1994)
I really liked the first three thirds of this miniseries. However, once this guy
turned into this,
the whole thing quickly degenerated into a poor, unfunny joke. In the end, I felt like I wasted my time and any desire I had to read the novel has been all but smothered.
Parts 1-3 (8/10)
Part 4 (5.5/10)
Yep, like I said -- the feud has begun anew.

Yes. They were removed for the SE (though I don't recall which SE, there are so damn many of them now).

To me, being happy to see snow is like rejoicing after seeing your house burn to the ground. ;-)

I haven't been to a dentist since I was in Grade 1 -- ie. the early '90s.
That sounds rather dumb.
Now do you see why I'm so pessimistic?

^Or in the PT, for that matter. The whole "ten thousand Jedi living and training in a single temple on Coruscant" was just all shades of stupid.
I saw the films of the LOTR trilogy haphazardly over a -- what? -- six year period, never one after another, and so I never really got into the story or understood who all the characters were. I'll probably watch them properly someday, but not until I finish reading the books; until then, they're completely anathema in theory if not in fact.
Now, with that hullabaloo out of the way ...
This discussion makes me want to perform an icepick lobotomy on myself.
