IMO, the only thing really off about the lightwhip is when the lash dangles down when not in motion. Having it so that the whip goes into "sleep mode" when not in motion -- ie. the lash retracts into the hilt but the weapon itself stays activated -- rectifies that problem, though.
This thread's giving me Dune flashbacks. Not that that's a bad thing, of course -- I love Dune.

Spring has arrived in Las Vegas! I was able to wear shorts for two days in a roe now.
Do you have an aversion to using three-letter words which both end in "ow" together or something? ;-P
I bought my first Blu-ray player today. Unfortunately, the coaxial cable it's made for isn't compatible with my old CRT TV, so now I'll have to go back out into town again tomorrow just to buy an adapter.
Why the manufacturers can't just build these players to be backwards compatible with older TVs in the first place I'll never know.

I'm no fan of Portman's, but at least I can take her voice seriously.
That I'll believe even if I never see it!
Actually, Trioculus was a pretender. Triclops was Palpatine's real three-eyed mutant son.
But yes -- the Jedi Prince series is crap, Zorba the Hutt's awesome dreads notwithstanding. Still, I continue to love Karl Kesel's interior artwork.

I'm sure Abramstrek will cough up its own lousy version one of these days, especially since it and the Prime Universe ostensibly share a common past where Voyager 6 fell into a black hole and was transported to Droid World.

How about some spoilers, guys?
Carrie Fisher (Leia) is playing the twin sister of Mark Hamill (Luke).
I won't believe it 'til I see it.

Well, I'm not just old-school, I'm old. So TOS all the way dude.
Now I can never hate you. =(

You might be tone deaf.
Notice I said used to. Besides, I was barely out of my single digit years at the time and I'd never been exposed to the accents before; I think I can be cut some slack for obliviousness.
I don't think I should have read this thread. Failed love never fails to remind me of my own failed non-relationships, which only leads to depressing thoughts, which lead to misanthropic thoughts, which lead to cravings for alcohol.
*sigh* I really wish I had the money to spend on copious amounts of booze. A bottle of Southern Comfort would go down well right about now.
In 2003, I saved photos from the Stargate movie onto a purple floppy disk. Soon after, though, I lost the disk and never found it. To this day I still wonder what became of it.
Belinda Carlisle c. 1984 kinda looks like a young Angela Lansbury if Angela Lansbury wore '80s hair and clothes. It arouses me, to be quite honest.
I think I used to confuse Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy with one another.
I often have the urge to buy a shotgun, sit down in front of one of those big honkin' CRT TVs from the '70s/'80s/whichever, deliberately watch something I know I'll hate, then blow the TV away with the shotgun.
I used to think the German and Jamaican accents were identical.
I thought Tracey Chapman was a man.
I once thought Alastair Sim and Christopher Walken were one and the same person.
When I first watched Stargate, I thought Ra was played by Carrie Fisher in brownface makeup.
I sometimes have the urge to go outside during a heavy April rainstorm, walk on over to my old high school, strip naked, and go running around for all to see me.
I have a memory of standing inside an dim-lit underground bunker. I have absolutely no idea where this memory comes from.
I once owned at least thirty cats.

Even with Sean Bean i probably won't go see it. It looks like shit. Star wars looks more promising. Both feature a young heroine but i think i would rather see Daisy Ridley than the girl from the seventies show as the hero.
Ah, Mila Kunis ... Her annoying voice has made it impossible for me to even entertain the thought of watching her in a serious role.
I don't think Frink likes the "R" word, Freddy (I can call you Freddy, right?). Using it may have biased him against the rest of the content of your post.
Of course!
Don't lei to me. Liyng is the worst sin of them all.

I'm trying to decide if I should be offended at this point or not. I certainly don't think enjoying making sarcastic and silly posts makes me a candidate for an ADD diagnosis. And I do love when people start throwing around an autistic diagnosis on someone they don't know, especially given they probably don't actually know someone autistic in real life. Or even more likely, do know someone autistic, but don't know it.
Ok, I've decided to be offended.
And now I feel officially welcomed to the forum! I'm off to a great start.
Let's see:
- Abominationsaber
- Autistic spectrum
- ADD
- ADHD
- Off topic
- Double ended saber
Just to be sure, is there anyone in this thread I haven't offended yet? I'll get right on it!
You haven't offended me yet.
If you say TNG is better than TOS, though, and that all of Roddenberry's worst ideas were actually great ideas, I'll hate you for life.
