If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place
Time

Depending on how far back you go, they wouldn't even be able to comprehend the language, let alone gauge how civilized/uncivilized it is.

Anyway, suffice it to say, I'm tired of how dumbed down society has become over the past several years; modern language just reflects everything I've come to hate about it.

A completely random question - does anybody here know ALL the variations of the Enterprise NCC 1701 model?

I have the perfect answer, but Frink would suffer a breakdown were I to give it.

I have the perfect retort, but it's in Ebonics with a gay lisp and I think it would explode your brain.

...

Come to think of it, maybe I should go ahead and say it.

Go ahead. The scar tissue's gotten thick enough to withstand the worst of it by now, anyway.

I watch the original series on METV on Saturday nights. They air the "remastered" versions with the cgi effects though. It bugs me. I've never seen the originals, but every time I see an unaltered clip, it looks so much cooler than the boring new shots! So much more style going on!

I know what you mean. The only un-remastered episode I've been able to see within recent memory has been "The Cage". =(

I don't mind the revamped effects -- unlike the changes with the SEs, they don't ruin the universe or take me out of the viewing experience -- but it would be nice for me to see the original versions as they were when first broadcast.

The new Star Wars comics - a general discussion thread
Time

After months of intense rage, I've decided to relax my boycott on Marvel; it just takes too much effort for me to avoid Star Wars comics, so I'm not going to frustrate myself over it anymore.

Of course, that doesn't mean I'm going to bother with the main series or anything related to Vader (and I'm certainly not touching any of the superhero stuff at all anymore -- that ship has sailed right off the edge of a flat Earth), but I will give the rest of their SW output a look.
