Different voice tone, and Mask, and Chest plate for that matter… Only thing worth keeping consistent is the tint of Vader’s eyes. Almost impossible to fix the other stuff…

But why try to “fix” any of it? So his suit changes between films. It doesn’t break continuity for Vader to get upgrades.

Just the red eyes in IV and in Rebels. If you look at at the movies from a trilogy point of view, there is a continuity irritation with some fans. If you just Watched Star Wars IV and never saw the other ones, well then there are no issues.

I wonder how many people even noticed – let alone complained about – Vader’s red eyes back in the good ol’ days. Seems like something most people only took notice of after the popularization of the Internet.

We follow standard imperial procedure for infiltrating potentially hostile planets.

  1. First we send in the real nerds, the Forlorn hope, in a scouting mission.
  2. If they do not come back, we can assume they all fell asleep and the movie is awful
  3. If they do come back, we read and listen to their reports.
  4. If it is good, we go in full force.
  5. If it is bad, we spend the next twenty years sniping at George Lucas and J.J. Abrams from the rooftops and the forums.

I’d rather nuke first and ask questions later.

I think that decision is Corporal Hicks’. Since, you know, this is a Military operation.

Pfft. Enlisted men can’t make decisions of that magnitude.

Against my better judgement, I decided to watch the pilot episode of Heroes Reborn last night.

I didn’t realize teal & orange colour grading had made its way into television.

Ugh.

I don’t want to continue watching what is bound to be another awful series, but it has a strong train wreck factor working for it – I find it hard to look away.

To provide a conclusion to this, I’ll just say I forced myself to continue watching, and seven episodes in, there’s nothing there worth the effort; it’s just like post-Season 1 Heroes: lame, uninspired, poorly written, with cyphers for characters I don’t care a damn about.

I gave this series a chance it didn’t deserve, and it squandered it. I won’t be watching next week’s episode or any of the remaining episodes after it.

My rating: D
