No, there’re no bathrooms in the SW Universe. Everyone excretes through their skin.
I actually think that the AOTC romance is the most authentic and unguarded romance in cinema,

so take my opinions with a pound of salt.
I’ll take them with a planet of salt, thank you very much.
LOL. Best laugh I’ve had all day.
I’d rather liken myself to a plantain, but whatever.
Reading back through the “Last movie seen” thread, I can’t help but facepalm at the low ratings I used to give so many movies back then. Case in point:
Black Narcissus (1947)
Not a bad film - the actors and cinematography are all very good - but it didn’t really get interesting until towards the end, when Kathleen Byron’s character goes crazy. I really think that if this movie had been written as an out-and-out horror film and directed as such, I would have liked it alot more.
5.1/10

5.1???
That’s crazy talk!
At the very least it’s one of the most important special effects films ever made.
Sister Ruth has to go mad near the end because of the tensions (sexual, sensual etc) have reached boiling point.
She is pretty warm to start with as it is, if you started with her at boiling point she would have evaporated by the end of the film.
I rate a movie by my reaction to it, not by how well the movie was put together; if I did rate movies that way, this would have gotten somewhere in the neighbourhood of 9/10. But that isn’t the way my pendulum swings, so I went with 5.1/10, which - IMHO - doesn’t mean it was a bad film, just an okay one.
As for Ruth, no, I didn’t want her crazy from the get-go. I just would have liked that chilling atmosphere from the last part of the movie where she is crazy present throughout the entire film. That alone would have made me like the film more; no script changes, no change in actors or performances, no scenes added or cut, just an overall more sinister tone.
Ugh. I gave Black Narcissus 5.1/10? Really?! I’m as flabbergasted at that low number now as Bingo was back then.
I’m so glad I eventually ditched the stupid “visceral reaction only” criteria for evaluating movies for a more even-handed approach. I just wish I had done so far sooner.
…
I’m not a pedant.
“You ain’t pedantic, you ain’t nothin’!”
^Couldn’t have said it any better myself.
There are real graves and tombstones on the island, so they may used something that was already there.
Han said Luke went in search of the first Jedi temple. I’m pretty sure he found it.
On that note, it was very strange seeing a stone crucifix in one of the shots leading up to the reveal of Luke. I get that they wanted to portray the island as accurately as possible, but that was one thing that screamed ‘Earth History’ to me.
And people wouldn’t listen to me when I said the humans of the SW Galaxy were the descendants of Earthlings.
I first accessed the thread through Google. When I got that message, I then went back through the forum pages to access the thread that way, getting the same result. I tried visiting the thread again a minute ago; still the same message.
When I tried to visit this thread, I got this message:

I haven’t experienced this problem with any other thread. Any clue as to what’s up?
Tales from the Asylum: an anthology horror film set in the DC Universe which revolves around three of Arkham Asylum’s most criminally insane inmates. The Joker – played by Mark Hamill himself – would serve as the Cryptkeeper-esque host, relating each of the three tales from within his padded cell. In a supporting role would be Doug Jones, cast in the role of a Kelley Jones-styled Batman.
Don’t worry. It’s only psychological.
No. Disability.
It’s payday once again, sumbitches.
Too bad social media can’t die of cancer.
That would make up for all the human and animal deaths it’s caused over the eons.
Life finds a way.
I don’t follow comic book or superhero stuff at all, but the trailer in front of TFA for Batman vs Superman looked like it might be an entertaining mashup, but it totally lost me with Wonder Woman.
It lost me on rubber suit Superman … and Affleck Batman … and teenaged Lex Luthor … and that fucktard Zach Synder.
^I’m not familiar with those last two clones.
Thread title made me think of that cheesy movie The Dentist with Corbin Bernsen.
I severely like that movie.
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
[JEDIT]
Gotdang Markdown curtailing my exclamation points again.
Eh, I’m just not a big fan of the EU’s penchant for assigning almost every background character from the films some grandiose backstory as a secret Rebel or Imperial agent or whatever. Couldn’t the Ice Cream Maker Guy just be a regular joe with a regular job with a regular life? I’d much rather read that type of story than a dozen warmed-over “James Bond in Outer Space” rehashes.
I absolutely hate crossovers from different franchises that have nothing tonal, stylistic, or thematic in common.
FTFY
I believe I brought this up in the “What do you HATE about the EU?” thread. Here it is again for good measure:
