The awakening was wonderful. Not that the hole was bad, but it wasn’t better than the awakening.

*shrug* I got more entertainment out of The Hole. Aside from that, I really didn’t like how the plot twist in The Awakening was executed.
The laptop I’m currently using is slowly but surely nearing the end of its life. First got it sometime in 2008, only began using it regularily in 2010(?), it’s served me well. For the last several months now, though, I’ve gone through several Blue Screens of Death, freezes, and a screen that constantly flickers red everytime I open or close the thing.
Eh, what can I say? Frustrated ennui was my reaction more than seething hatred.

Terminator Salvation (2009)
When I first saw this movie years ago, I thought it was an exercise in pointless mediocrity. Revisiting it, though, I find that it’s not nearly as weak as I remembered it; Anton Yelchin did an excellent job recapturing Michael Biehn’s performance as Reese, Bale did a pretty decent job as John, and the story was solid. The movie’s sins are pretty much just stylistic; had a better director been brought on board, the aesthetics and tone of the Future War scenes from the previous movies been utilized (by using the same cold, industrial colour grading, a Fiedel-inspired synth score, and plasma rifles), this movie would have been right up there with the first two Terminator movies.
