Pitch It, Obi-Wan!
It’s baseball season on Tatooine, and the Jawas are in a seriously bad losing streak against the Tusken Raiders. Needing a leg up, they recruit Obi-Wan Kenobi – Jedi Knight and former star pitcher for the Jedi Temple baseball team – to play for them.
The temperature outside is currently 31°C, which means it’s at least thrice that inside. Tomorrow, it’s supposed to reach 36.
I wouldn’t want black Bond or female Bond for a simple reason - according to all info we have now, the bond from Spectre and Bond from Dr. No is the same character. That same secret agent has managed to work for her majesty’s secret service for all these 50 years. How? IDK. But that’s the truth.
Two words: brain transplant.
The concept of personal canon is such a weird and intangible thing to me. Do you guys really see all these things fit together when you consume these movies/TV shows/comics/etc.? Or is it just simply you compiling what bits of Star Wars content you like and think are worthy of existing (for lack of a better term)? Or is it picking the things you think make sense together and should be things that happened in this universe?
I’ll take Door #2.
I kinda accepted the story as quasi-canonical for awhile there – at least the idea of the humans of the GFFA being the descendants of fugitives from the Earth of THX 1138– but I’ve since lost interest in the idea of the humans of the SW Galaxy being an offshoot of Terrans.
Nowadays, I prefer to run with a somewhat different idea: that Coruscant was a duplicate Earth – ala Miri’s world from Star Trek – a long, long time before it became a city planet.
Well, then just call me Kid N. Gyorselv.
They could create a fem 005 or a homosexual 0069 and bring in 007 as a supporting character, as Marvel brings other characters to support the individual hero films. A fem 00 might work if done well. Jolie and Johannsen have paved the way. I doubt I’d see a homosexual 00 if it’s primarily a pandering, identity politics gimmick. It would have to have VERY much to recommend it otherwise.
A homosexual Bond or Captain America would be a homo-militant attack on iconic figures of British and American masculinity.
I’m still recovering from being told we MUST believe allowing every pervy bi-sexual cross-dresser to prance into any Girl’s Locker Room is the most glorious idea ever conceived, or else we’re pure evil and deserve to SUFFER AND DIE!!!
Yay, the prodigal conspiracy theorist returns.
I wish you and Darth Id would just get into it and cancel each other out.
STARGATE: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK: THE DELUXE EDITION – DAVID ARNOLD
INDIVIDUAL TRACK RATINGS:
TOTAL SCORE: 324/370
I’m still waiting for the first homersexual in a Bond movie.
Sorry, but Hank Scorpio is the closest we’ll ever get.
It can be funny … if you’re drunk … and suffering from sleep deprivation … while looking at your computer screen in a mirror.
That’s a pretty low rating for a movie that’s just “disappointing”.
Frankly I like the notion of a film in the SW galaxy with a horror film tone or a western motif or a cop buddy flick or a drama.
I honestly want to see a Lovecraftian SW horror film.
THROWING COPPER – LIVE

So, it needs her.
I hope you enjoy(ed) my take on Captain (now promoted to General) Phasma!
Ah, just a word on that: Promoting her from captain to general is problematic.
Going off of appearances, Phasma’s an army officer, not a naval one. In the American army, at least, the rank of captain is a relatively low one; it’s one step above 1st lieutenant, four steps behind brigadier general, the lowest ranking general. Were she to receive a promotion, the rank of major or – if you want her to skip a grade – lieutenant colonel would be a more reasonable choice.
On the other hand, if she is a naval officer, then she can’t be a general since there are no generals in the navy. She would be an admiral.
Yes, Gary Stu is a masculine version of Mary Sue.
IMO, colour printing in comic books achieved the pinnacle of its evolution in the early-to-mid '90s – after the Ben-Day dots were dropped, before digital took over.
If you are leaving out Episode 1 and Episode 2, why not leave out Episode 3 as well and just watch the OT?
Done and done.
I remember hearing rumors about a live action series happening, but then nothing happened. I kind of wish they’d do a live action series.
They will do a live action series… they will do everything with and to Star Wars in time.
SW sure got a purdy mouth …
After a fashion.

It doesn’t get as much love as it deserves, though.
But at least I can ignore it.
By acknowledging its existence, you’re already failing to achieve that endeavor.
I just heard that Taylor Swift broke up with his girlfriend and I was immediately overwhelmed by apathy because I didn’t care.
I thought Justin Bieber was dating Selena Gomez.
