FEAR – TOAD THE WET SPROCKET
INDIVIDUAL TRACK RATINGS:
TOTAL SCORE: 103/120
WHO’S AFRAID OF THE ART OF NOISE? – THE ART OF NOISE
INDIVIDUAL TRACK RATINGS:
TOTAL SCORE: 62/100
*Neither of these tracks were up on YouTube, so I didn’t get to listen to either of them.
First chance I get, I’m moving to Vancouver Island. I’ve had my fill of non-air conditioned Okanagan summers.
LOL! That is so stupid, it’s funny.
I watched part of an episode from the ‘80s version of The Twilight Zone today – specifically, the remake of the original series’ episode “The After Hours”.
Terry Farrell notwithstanding, it was a piece of shit. It literally looks and plays like a bad, no-budget student film.
Makes me wish I’d been around back then. It would’ve been nice to have grown up in a social environment where openly liking SW was looked on with approval instead of mockery or scorn.
LOL. It certainly does!
Also, if you’re unaware, Gideons pocket Bibles for spreading the gospel are just New Testament + Proverbs and Psalms.
I wish that were the official Bible. The messages and even the temperament of Yahweh himself got a lot more tame.
To be quite honest, if I do ever become a Christian again, that will literally be my Bible. Just like ancient Egyptian and Greek mythology, the Old Testament has some interesting stories to tell, but I wouldn’t use it as a source of theological or moral insight.
Four fast food restaurants better than McDonalds:
- A&W
- Burger King
- Dairy Queen
- Wendy’s
FTFY
Aside for some soft-serve ice cream I got one time, I honestly can’t remember ever eating anything from Wendy’s. There are no Wendy’s restaurants nearby, and my family never goes out of the way to go to any when they’re out of town.
My youth pastor has actually spoken about his experiences with praying over homo/trans/bi -sexuals and “freeing” them of their demons.
Your pastor is a charlatan.
I don’t remember if he used the terminology I did here (and I think I did a pour job of saying that, now that I think of it), but how can you claim he has never seen a person with a “different” sexual preference change their mindset after prayer? Believe me, I know this man, he is no fraud. He claims nothing of himself that is fraudulent.
While I’m not going to question the honesty of your pastor, I will say that he’s likely been conditioned to see demonic influence/possession where there isn’t any.
My youth pastor has actually spoken about his experiences with praying over homo/trans/bi -sexuals and “freeing” them of their demons.
=\
The difference is I recognize my problem’s an actual problem.
LOL
(From this thread.)
…I learned many things about the Bible to fuel my hatred of it…
You actively hate the Bible?
Yes, when it has things passages saying to kill homosexuals (and pretty much everyone else who isn’t a straight worshiper of Yahweh),
I’m not sure what passages you’re speaking of, so I don’t know how many ways the text can be interpreted. (Also, about your parentheses, I don’t think a homosexual can effectively worship God.)
This is not true, it simply says that it’s a sin to marry the same sex. Just as it is a sin to have pre-marital sex.
I know this, but I wasn’t sure if he was speaking of a specific passage that I wasn’t remembering.
a raped virgin must marry her rapist
Well, I don’t recall it saying that in those terms, but people aren’t supposed to have sexual relation before marriage, and if that is committed, the parties are supposed to get married.
No, the context of this was that when a woman is raped she becomes an outcast. The rapist was told to marry her and care for her because he made her undesirable. Marrying her was pretty much what he had to pay for raping her.
Ah, thanks for clarification. I didn’t remember that right away, so I thought he was referencing something else.
and a woman should not have authority over a man
“I’m not sure what passages you’re speaking of…”
I know what he’s talking about but it gets pretty complicated, I recommend actually doing some research.
Do you remember what book/chapter he’s referencing? Or will I need to do some more looking up (hence “doing some research”)?
If I believe in Hell, it’s the Hell of the universalists. 😉
Three fast food restaurants better than McDonalds:
That being said, McDonalds’ fries are still pretty good.
Is “just being Hansi” the new “pulling a Homer”?
Dang it, Frink, just give it a rest. I find the names of the bands/songs Haseo listens to as asinine as you do, but there’s no point going on and on about it. It’s not as if he’s forcing you to listen to any of it.
No it doesn’t.
How to become an atheist:
Step 1: Read the Bible.
Step 2: Understand the Bible.
Step 3: Think about the Bible.
Step 4: Profit.
Damn all those progressive/liberal Christians for not fitting this conceited notion!
The only reason I know so much about religion is because I am atheist.
Wut?
I’d welcome snow right about now.
You watched not one, but two Beethoven movies?
To quote myself from a few months back:
I’m obsessed with rewatching every single movie and TV show I can remember having ever seen prior to August 2012 – the good, the bad, and the mediocre. I’ve even assembled a list to keep track of them all (I currently have [880] titles still to get through).
It’s sad, I know, but it’s an itch I have to constantly scratch.
Thankfully, these are the only two Beethoven movies I’ve ever seen, so I’ll never have to watch any of the others.
My favourite tradegy is the one with the most mispellings.
