Though I really like TESB and consider it the best SW film made to date, I can understand why others – especially those who watched the first film back in '77 – don’t particularly care for it. Not only does the franchise’s long slide into universe-shrinkage and revisionism begin with TESB, but TESB is very different in tone and feel from SW; many fans may have fallen in love with Star Wars for the optimistic, swashbuckling nature of the original film, and may have found the grittier, grimmer nature of TESB a harsh, unwelcome departure from that.

So, what may be the significance behind that crystal Jyn’s mommy gives her? Is it a lightsaber crystal? Was Mommy Erso a Jedi?

Whaleburgers? I thought they were only available in Inuit communities.

I have a large number of favourite films, and none of them are more “favourite” than the other*. SW & TESB are both on that list.

*Except for Stargate; it’s my least favourite favourite.

The only major flaw in the first season is the lack of a Halloween episode.

Can’t say I’m a fan of these type of crossovers. Superheroes and space opera go as well together as turkey goes with peanut butter.

Of course, if the writer(s) were to realize how stupid and ridiculous such a crossover would be and decided to emphasize the ridiculousness and stupidity, I might change my mind.

If I had my way, all SW films would have opening crawls without any episode numbers, which is how it should’ve been all along.

Since that ship has already left the dock, though, I can live with the absence of a crawl for Rogue One. I’m sure some fan-editor or five will come along and create their own eventually anyway.

There’s should be a rule that you can’t jedit a typo once it ends up listed in this thread.

Yeah, The Iron Giant is an awesome film; I give it a 9/10 myself.

I wish Warner Bros. would make an animated Iron Giant/Fleischer Superman crossover film. That’d reinvigorate my interest in comic book films faster than a speeding bullet.

Similar thing happened to me in the tenth grade. I once rented all three Evil Dead films, and my dad got incensed when he checked them out. My parents henceforth banned me from renting R-rated horror films until I turned eighteen. (Yeah, just R-rated horror films, not R-rated movies in general).

Being the half-assed parents they are, this ban didn’t stick for long.
