I know I stated in my first post that I wasn’t interested in post-PT novels, but having read the Hand of Thrawn I’m now kind of curious about what Zahn had in mind when describing Thrawn’s backstory. Would anyone recommend this book, or is it a post-PT retconned mess like a lot of stories from the early 2000’s were?
(I’ve already had some issues with how convoluted Hand of Thrawn was, but a lot of that I imagine would have been easier to ignore if the duology hadn’t been so damn long.)

Zahn also wrote a book in 2004 called Survivor’s Quest which I know absolutely nothing about, but it has Luke, Mara and Thrawn on the cover, so I am a little bit intrigued.

I never got far into Outbound Flight, but I do recall that Anakin and Obi-Wan are featured prominently – at least early in the book.

It took video games almost 20 years in the future 1996, to become full 3d. And this is 1977 and that dude it rendering full 3d images…haha thats just fucking mind blowing! My guess it they most likely had a rendering farm, with its dozen, if not hundreds of computer all connected to one to have more memory and stuff. And this dude made a full 3d model of creatures and jabba the hut back 1977…that tech was dozens of years ahead of its time.

I’ve come up with a few addition changes I’d make to A New Hope: Divergent Edition. They are as follow:

ADDITIONAL CHANGE #1

Add secondary lightsaber glows onto all nearby surfaces.

IMPETUS FOR CHANGE

Since lightsaber blades generate a whole lotta light, it’d make sense for some of that light to fall onto surrounding surfaces.

ADDITIONAL CHANGE #2

Add cuts and bruises to Leia’s face in all post-interrogation/pre-Yavin IV scenes.

IMPETUS FOR CHANGE

To drive home just how bad she was treated while detained aboard the Death Star.

The Democrats are not doing well, they didn’t show up to the hearings for Trump’s nominees so the committee rules were suspended to allow them to continue without the party, and now the Senate will revoke the filibuster for the Supreme Court nomination.

If Dems continue to be a no-show, we’ll effectively end up in a one-party system fast.

I just remember Dominic saying that it was only the Republican’s who were making it all about “sides” and I did not agree. I certainly don’t relish being right at least some of the time but it’s been more than obvious that it is happening. People fear change but change is here and we either go down complaining or we find a way to make it positive for everyone as best we can.
