THE ROCKETEER (1991)

Been wanting to revisit this one for some time. Hadn’t seen it in a couple decades, fantastic film! Joe Johnston did a great job of adapting this for the big screen. The film still holds up wonderfully. Lots of action and adventure to spare. It’s a shame we never got a sequel.

Only downside to the movie is Jennifer Connelly’s wooden performance. I love the woman, and she’s certainly improved since then, but I don’t think she was hired for her skills as a thespian back then.

Oh no, whilst ordering the blu ray of the first one I saw the sequel was available for £2.98 so I bought that too! I didn’t read a plot synopsis or reviews but I saw the cast list and was intrigued judging by how the first one ended. Ah well, I’ll lower my expectations!

Tsk tsk tsk. Never purchase a movie you haven’t seen beforehand, even if you’re certain you’ll like it. I learned that lesson after watching The Amazing Spider-Man.
