Episode VIII : The Last Jedi - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

I’d rather they just left the puffins in and avoided shoving these irritating facsimiles in there to cover them up. I really don’t understand this continued aversion to having real-world animals in these films. Humans existing in another galaxy in another time is perfectly believable, but a species of groovy-beaked birds isn’t? Give me a break.

you won’t see me go into a hysterical meltdown the likes of which I had when TFA came out

Aw man, I knew I missed some good stuff not being around when TFA was released…

Basically, I felt TFA was the Antichrist – without even having seen the movie, mind you – and was so put off by praise about it that I vowed to leave the forum for several months. Of course, after less than a day, I came back.

I was in a bad place at the time, though. After watching the movie Tideland, I became engulfed in a horrible fear of death which left me afraid to go to sleep at night. That fear plunged me into the deepest, darkest depression I’ve ever experienced – a depression which lasted several months.

In what way I should watch a Star Wars Marathon?

I sat through a Star Wars marathon earlier this year, starting from Phantom Menace, through to ROTJ, and it was awful. By the time I got to the good stuff, everyone else was fatigued and sleeping. We had TFA, but I was the only one up by the end of ROTJ, and I was kind of sick of it all by then.

If I had to do it again, I’d just watch Star Wars and call it a day.

I don’t know how people do it (watching all 7/8 films) - especially when you get past your 30’s and need afternoon power nap too 😉

I’m in my 40’s - man, I couldn’t watch more than a couple of films before losing focus - even if they were good films (personally… something that Prequels are not counted amongst).

Fair play to you for getting to the end of ROTJ.

Back in 2012/2013/2014, I’d watch seven-to-ten movies a day, often back-to-back. Honestly, I don’t know how I managed it. I’m lucky if I can get through three movies in a night now.

Porn doesn’t count mate 😉 (does it?)

😄

I hope they were all very good films.

They ran the gamut.
