My laptop’s webcam is utter shit. Doesn’t matter how I tinker with the settings, the resolution never rises above that of a degraded video cassette.

FFS, the webcam on the old Vista laptop I had captured better quality video.

This forum’s really hit the fan this last week. What the hell is in the water?

A shame the author appears to define theism solely by the traditionalist Abrahamic take on theism. As I’ve mentioned previous, I don’t believe in a God who is simultaneously omnipotent and omnibenevolent, and I know Zoroastrians don’t, Hindus probably don’t, etc, etc.

Because they’re (Hindus, not Zoroastrians iirc) polytheists, and that would require that no god is omnipotent, thus the need for several. Then again, I’ve also heard arguments for the Christian trinity as “3 polytheistic gods hiding in a trench coat”

I remember when I was a young kid, when I didn’t have school the next day, I would stay up nights past 9:30 to midnight if I could, because back then — in the late '90s — one of the local stations played old episodes of The Simpsons at that time. After I watched The Simpsons, though, I’d quickly retire to bed, 'cause at that point, I’d be dead tired. As such, the time between 12:30 & 5:00 AM was largely a mystery to me; I often romanticized these 4.5 hours into a quasi-magical period where anything and everything could happen and did.

Fast forward to the last seventeen years. That mystical quality has vanished. The time between 12:30 & 5:00 AM’s just a chronal doldrums where only insomnia thrives.

There are times when this forum’s too serious and yet, simultaneously, not serious enough. I don’t know how that happens, but it does, and it irks me every single time.
