You can compare it to almost any episode of a sitcom like The Simpsons where each episode ends with everything back to status quo, which means you can skip any episode and you won’t know that you missed anyhing. Still, the episodes aren’t pointless.
So, you haven’t watched anything past the ninth season.
Would you guys forget everything you know about Star Wars only to experience it again for the first time?
If I were to do that, I’d end up regarding the OOT as I do many animated Disney films — great on a technical/aesthetic level, average story-wise. I may or may not buy the films, but if I did, I’d rarely watch them, and think about them even less. I certainly wouldn’t become a SW fan — let alone a lapsed SW fan — and waste my time constantly rewriting rewrites almost no one will ever read and making stupid lists like this one.

Reinsert all the deleted scenes with Luke/Tosche Station/Biggs on Tatooine.
IMPETUS FOR CHANGE
I like how those scenes flesh out Luke’s life on Tatooine and I like the Biggs/Luke camaraderie.
Since watching this, I’ve gone back on this choice. It would be best to go the theatrical route and remove any implication Luke knew Biggs prior to Yavin.
