I feel like this is kind of a glass half empty or half full thing. Your reasoning isn’t incorrect, but I feel it’s more important to focus on the eternal reward of faithfulness rather than the eternal punishment of unforgiven sin (or whatever Hell may be).

The reward isn’t as desirable as the punishment is horrifying.

Yeah but it is a little bit bad about making you drowsy in the morning. Also I’ve read over time it can lead to blood pressure problems.

Once I took 12 or so in high school and had the scariest trip of my life. Heard thousands of cats meowing and saw the shadows of huge spiders that weren’t there. Didn’t see spiders, just shadows of them. All in all I’d give the experience a 3/10. Gave it 3 points for scaring me away from doing shit like that.

I wonder if anyone’s used that as a basis for a horror plot. If not, I’m going to be the first.
